Reviews of Nathan Hale Elementary School
"I've been here since preschool and have since graduated from here. The kids are annoying, bullies, selfish, rude, offensive, and racist. Most of the staff doesn't even care what you do. "Activities" are boring. You can't play or anything during indoor recess time, as they don't allow you to bring anything fun. Instead, if you want to play, you have to use the school's playing cards, many of which are incomplete decks. Graffiti sometimes appears in bathrooms, fights go on, and kids cheat. The dumber kids aren't given much help academically until the last of middle school, and the smarter kids have more attention from teachers. Homework is either really easy, not graded, or not given out. Bad experience. I don't know how it's been since I've graduated."
"I've been here since Pre-K and this school is crazy bad. Kids are swearing, fighting, and saying racist things to each other. Teachers get a bit more strict for middle school. 4th and 5th graders act tough. The staff are deaf to everything kids say, and some staff are unfair as well as teachers."
"Ok, so I kind of like it here. I have some nice friends, but some kids are REALLY rude, racist and swear too much. They disrupt the class and one kid cheats off my tests! Some of the staff that works at lunch is scary to be honest, but they can be nice. I try to be a good student but the teachers punish the whole class instead of the troublemakers, which is tgotally unfair when a student does nothing wrong. Also, you do ONE thing wrong “GO PUT YOUR NAME ON THE BOARD!” I finish stuff way too fast and. There’s never anything to do, so the teachers tell me to play mathletics. Why am I playing math games in science class? In all the school is ok, but it has its downsides..."
"This is the first year for my son attending Nathan H. School. I don’t agree with Principal ruling which it doesn’t make any sense to everybody. If a child missed 2 or more days at school, he/she is excluding from Halloween Parade. Why 5 years old child has to be punished for being sick? What did he wrong to be discard out from activities while other students are having fun? To me, this is humiliation, discrimination, punishment and child is hurting psychological. I am very disappointed how school treats their students."
"I was a student at Nathan hale ever since second grade, and let me tell you, the person would have been right 2 years ago when he/she wrote that comment, but now she is wrong because ever since we got a new principal, she has been changing it back into shape, plus once when i was in fourth grade here, i wasn't doing that great, i was getting c's. But then my teacher encouraged me and she thought i had potential and i was smart, so then i got on the b honoral at the end of the fourth grade year and in fifth grade, i kept getting a's in all of my subjects all year, the principal has also created the be a hero program where you can anymously drop a note at the front desk on your way to lunch and the bully problem they've been having will be solved, you can also write a note about how one of the students have been nice, or a hero, they also need reasons why the person was being a bully, you can't just say they were so innocent students won't get in trouble, they are very reasonable. and thanks to the teachers not giving up on me and helping me go to my full potential, i now go to a HIGH SCHOOL AND IM IN SEVENTH GRADE! Maybe it's a problem with the teacher for the younger grades, but the teachers for the older grades are great. Though i have to say the students in my grade are crazy, but i think the rest of the grades are okay. they also have a spiecial ed program for kids. they also have a real artist for the art class, she is very cool, she recomended a person i know to go to the art instutute and another program that helped her with her art skills and now she is going to an art highschool. the school really cares about your future, they want you to succeed. there is some students who really don't care, but it's not the teachers fualt that the students don't want to. Though I'm not saying the person's son down there doesn't care, im sure that the student down there does care, if you are getting that impression. So don't get the wrong impression on this school too, it is decent. this is from the student, not the parent, so you should give it a try, and if you don't like it, then thats fine."
