"Have banked with BCU for 7 years now. Their general account offerings are pretty good, but my latest experience with their member ops teams has me seriously considering completely closing the account and transferring elsewhere. My request was for a cashier's check to be sent via overnight (very standard, simple process). They then proceeded to: 1. Send the wrong check 2. Re-sent the check to the wrong address 3. Re-re-sent the check via standard shipping instead of overnight Each time required me to call and attempt to correct the error (4 times in total). The end result was that I did not receive the needed check in time and will end up suffering a payment penalty from the intended payment recipient. If anyone from the BCU team is reading this, please tighten up the processes for your member ops team. One mistake I can understand, 3 mistakes on a request like this unacceptable."
"These people are wild, I gave them a money order that bounced. (It's a long story.) So they ended up restricting my account due to fraudulent activity, okay I get it it's totally my fault. HOWEVER, literally the next week I deposited a refund check from the money order including a hundred dollar bill to cover the overdraft fees from the bank and the refund fee from the money order. These people still have my account restricted and they told me to wait seven business days for the check to clear. Okay, done. My account is still restricted. I had to call them again, the rep placed a freaking request that will take up to 24-48. How about you just let me access my account now??? It was a mistake, I fixed it and paid you back. I'm only using this bank for my auto loan, this bank gave me so much trouble for no reason even before this."
"Called in to check the interest rate of balance transfer for my credit card and was told it was 0%. Got my bill and that is not what it shows up. Called member services to inquire about and and they were suppose to let me know what the outcome was after reviewing it. A month later and still did not hear from them so called back and the nice lady checked on it for me. Outcome was that they were not going to honor what the original rep told me. 20 years of doing business with BCU I expected better from them. If I could give zero stars I would. I will just give my business to someone else."
