Meadowview School

Meadowview School, located at 291 Lexington Lane in Grayslake, Illinois, is a primary school dedicated to empowering learners, creating equity, and cultivating community. Our school hours vary depending on the day, with a normal day running from 8:00 am to 2:15 pm, a late start day from 9:20 am to 2:15 pm, and a half day/early dismissal from 8:00 am to 10:50 am.

When students enter our building, they embark on a journey of discovery, with engaging learning experiences centered around real-life situations. Our students take on leadership roles in activities such as running the school store and restoring our woodland habitat, becoming Habitat Heroes in the process. Each grade level participates in the Woodland Project, conducting research to better understand our impact on the environment and working to restore our woodland.

With 411 students and 62 staff members, Meadowview School was recognized as a U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon School in 2019 for its achievements in environmental and sustainability education. Additionally, our school offers resources through the McKinney-Vento Program for students experiencing housing insecurity or homelessness.
