"Purchased a Precor 800 series treadmill. FIrst class refurbished gym equipment. Service from Boris and Richard was excellent before, during and after sale. Purchase with confidence."
"Richard is a liar and a crook. He stole money from me by failing to deliver equipment then refusing to refund my money. I would not do business with this company under any circumstances. Read the reviews!"
"BUYER BEWARE...UNTRUSTWORTHY - Do not purchase "reconditioned" equipment from them. They do not honor their warranty. If you investigate Wisthoff Fitness Warehouse on the internet, you'll see that their BBB accreditation was SUSPENDED in the fall of 2021, yet their website still falsely displays a AAA+ rating! Do not trust them. I experienced repeated broken promises, literally dozens of unreturned calls from 3 different employees (Richard, Rich and Boris) and I still have an inoperable machine, over 18 months later. I purchased a "reconditioned" Precor Elliptical Trainer - 835 model. The unit arrived in June of 2020 with a dead battery, a flawed drive assembly, an error producing Elevation Motor (the ramp wouldn't operate correctly) and dangerously unstable arms (the pads we "walk" on). They initially conceded that the unit "should be replaced." Then they reversed course and "promised" to repair it. After a year of calls, one of the 3 major issues was eventually attended to - replacing the arms. During the replacement their technician actually over-torqued the bolt during the install and the bolt sheared 90 days later. The machine is now entirely inoperable. The other 2 issues were never attended to, even after committing in July of 2021 to ship the parts "next week." In January of 2022 they lied and said "everything shipped last week." When I challenged and asked for the tracking number - mind you this was after several unreturned phone calls - they confessed that "they were wrong and the parts didn't actually ship; they had the wrong parts"(yes, after 7 months of saying they'd ship within a week). They're either the most incompetent and overwhelmed employees or they're entirely deceitful. Either way, they're untrustworthy; but they can be trusted to take your money and charge your credit card. A perfect illustration of a Lose-Lose relationship. None of us benefited from this relationship. Terribly disappointed and cheated out of $4k. They can make this purchase right by refunding my money."
"Kind of sketchy. Had good price online for a rower that I contacted about. Manager assured me they were authorized retailers. While asking another retailer if they could price match, they stated Wisthoff is in fact not an authorized dealer. I then contacted the maker of the rower directly about this who confirmed that they were not authorized. I would not trust a dealer who would lie about that kind of thing, especially on equipment costing thousands of dollars. Who knows what condition they come in or if it is a complete scam?"
"Avoid doing business via the internet with Wisthoff’s Fitness Warehouse. On Nov. 14 I purchased a Life Fitness 9500 HR elliptical machine. It was advertised in several places, including eBay -- $1499 including Free Shipping. I called the company direct and spoke to Joe (Pietro). We had several conversations and documented email exchanges. He billed me (incorrectly that day but corrected it next day) and we arranged to have TWO shipping services to be performed on or near January 5, 2018. I received CONFIRMATION of the services and that the contractors would be contacting closer to the date to arrange specific time. As time got closer, I was never contacted. Thus, I attempted to contact Fitness Warehouse – two documented emails and multiple phone calls to both Joe and others prior to the Christmas holidays. NO response. Finally, I got a hold of Richard (Chuk, President) who assured me he would look into the logistics of the shipment. He confirmed the situation, what I purchased, etc. and promised to get back to me the next day. He never called. My husband took over and had MULTIPLE conversations with Richard and believe Joe, who originally SOLD me the elliptical. Promise after promise, lie after lie, began to happen. First Richard told the elliptical would ship the next day. Next call he then backtracked and said they could never have delivered by January 5th since we just now called and gave them less than 6 days’ notice. But he quickly rescinded that story when my husband conveyed the Nov. order date and all the documented contacts and proof in mid-December. Then he promised that it would be shipped next day (first week in January). Called next day to get tracking number and more lies saying it would be next day (a Friday). But CURIOUSLY he also told Paul they would CREDIT the amount until it actually shipped. Why? Well, even that credit NEVER happened and why should they? We wanted it, paid for it and expected them to ship it next day as promised. Called Tuesday to get tracking information and low and behold it still hadn't shipped. Said they were still working on it. Finally called this past Monday (1/9) and was told more BS – now the story they made up is that the reason they never shipped it is because that they discovered the elliptical was "damaged" when they went to look at it for shipment. What??? I KNOW that isn't the case. On November 14, the elliptical was already in their possession. Joe was falling all over himself on what a great piece of equipment this Life Fitness commercial elliptical was, like brand new from a Lake Forest woman who never used it but traded it to them for another piece of equipment, and how I was getting SUCH a GREAT Deal. Well, I think they realized it was too good of a deal and that they could probably get more for it. We believe they actually sold it for a much higher price to someone else and they just strung us along and along and along. They had our money for almost 60 days with fessing up that they NEVER intended to ship us the elliptical. AVOID doing business with these deceitful individuals with Fitness Warehouse!!!"
