"I just moved back to the area after nearly 40 years. I have bank accounts with MFCU and NFCU but thought a local bank account would be good to have. My time was wasted. I wasn't allowed to open an account. I had an out of state drivers license with old address, but I had two pieces of mail (one was the old electric company returning electric deposit so it had both old and new addresses on it, I pulled up my mortgage account to show new address, I pulled up Black River Electric with new address, and both out of state bank accounts. None of this was sufficient to open an account. I'm pretty shocked and dissappointed. But there's lots of banks in this community and I'm sure another one will let me leave money in a savings account with them."

I used Banterra Bank for years and felt that they were lacking in customer service as well as not being able to use Venmo or any other money apps.
