"As a long-time customer of Lifestyle Cycles I felt compelled to post this as a response to Vaishnavi ‘s recent review. I was in the shop waiting for my repair to be completed when Vaishnavi entered the store. I will be brief with my summary: 1) The staff was very professional in providing Vaishnavi with an explanation of when the repair could be completed AND why her son’s bike could not be completed immediately as she very rudely demanded. 2) Vaishnavi, in a very unfriendly tone, then proceeded to accuse the shop of performing poor quality work with poor quality products. Immediately, it was evident that she knew nothing about the work that was required nor the product itself. All you needed to do (which I did) was look at the sidewalls of her son’s tires to realize this was not a result of workmanship, but rather the day-to-day abuse that most bikes take while being ridden by a kid. 3) I was present for the entire conversation, and at no point did the owner or his staff speak crossly to Vaishnavi. She was the one raising her voice and aggressively pointing her finger at the owner with her false accusations. 4) Lastly, Vaishnavi accusing the owner of treating her in a racist manner is an absolute lie. It sickens me to think that with so much true racism and hatred going on this world, she had the nerve to make such a false claim, which only trivializes the fight against racism and bigotry we are trying to support."

"I will not recommend this place for various reasons as below 1. Is not the right cycle shop for urgency, inspite of requesting by a school student for his flat tire fixture which would hardly need 10-15 mins maximum including both tube and tire replacement ( student and mom did mention that needs cycle for student for his daily commute to school 2. This cycle shop is always looking for high value customers and doesn’t want to spend time on cheap or less service task like flat tire wherein their revenue is less. 3. Thirdly, the employee or owner not sure who it is, was not polite to Asian woman and I felt he was very rude in actions and literally pushed the cycle out and making the student and woman leave the place who both was waiting for his service and advice for 15 mins. 4. Always when we need any kind service in this shop, their wait time is very high even for flat tire fixture for off seasons they demand a wait time for more than 12-15 days. Overall very expensive shop who is looking only for high value bikes and not meant for day to day bike users"

"Best cycling service you can ask for. I'm usually very picky about who I bring my bikes to, but I have 100% trust in these guys that they'll help fix anything, and be quick too."

"Fred and his crew are can-do people. Whether it's coming in five minutes before closing with a new tire need or some totally unrelated, they're on it, sometimes numerous of them digging in, just to see if they can solve some challenge. (It's happened more than once, and not for some big-bucks repair or anything like that. That's the tell.) This is the kind of service you hope for in anything you use or need work on, but rarely get."

"Here's the bike Lifestyle cycles sourced the components for, then built for me. Waterford R33 custom steel frame, wheels hand built by one of the owners (Fred). Whisky components, Ultegra mechanicals, White Industries hubs. I've been riding for many years and I am super fussy. I liked the fact that Fred, Matt and Howie gave me what I wanted across every little detail, but at the same time gave me some great advice where maybe I wasn't thinking about things the best way (or my thinking was outdated, and there was new tech to take advantage of). Lifestyle is a great example of a Local Bike Shop and I recommend it to everyone, whether you're looking for first bike for your kid, or to build a custom race bike."
