"Financed a car in late 90s or early 00s, can't remember exactly, it got repossessed and a claim against me was won. Have had several jobs, never heard anything more about it until...fast forward almost 2 DECADES and they are still filing in court, owed 3k on the car when it got repossessed, now I owe almost 20k with interest. So I went to MAC to ask if I could pay 5k for them to drop it. THEY SAID NO! They wanted 10k to drop it. I walked out of there bawling, knowing I would have to file bankruptcy because I didn't pay on a car when I was a teenager. I've met someone else they did the same thing to, so I did some research and I would never recommend anyone to finance anything from this company because this is what they do. And yes, I should have paid them, but things happen, putting someone in 25k debt 20 years later is not the solution. Well, for them it is."
"To begin with I was given an incorrect address to submit payments too therefore the payments were returned to me. In the mean time they issued a garnishment in which I then contacted them to explain I was given the wrong address, even provided proof of the address they gave to me. I submitted the payment to them and they agreed to have future payments auto deducted and asked I complete an authorization form, I completed the form and submitted to them (which I have all the documentation to prove this occurred). They then reissued a garnishment and when I contacted them again was told I did not clearly identify myself therefore they would not cancel the garnishment. I clearly provided my leagal name and provided them with documentation prior to the garnishment that I recently divorced and my name had been LEGALLY changed. What more clarification is needed! I have done everything they have asked (with proof to back it up) however they have not! I would never do business with such poor customer service and organization as this. I will always admit to my wrongs but this time I was not in the wrong I did what was asked of me!"
"I got behind a little bit because my grandmother passed away At the end of September, And so I called this morning to see if I could arrange 2 payments, So then I'll be completely caught up, I talked to a lady named Cathy who was very, very rude and very disrespectful. And she referenced my deceased grandmother in a horrible manner. The lady wouldn't even take the time to listen to me. Nor help me. So I called back and I talked to a supervisor who was very, very friendly. Who took the time out to listen to me and understand where I was coming from as a Human being. Where we all have hard times But I would not recommend talking to Kathy. Very rude person, very disrespectful. And if this company loses business honestly I would believe that a lot of it was from her, she was very hateful towards myself this morning & I don't understand why. Thank you so much Vince & Annette I appreciate Your help."
"I have been trying to reach this company concerning a car that is now in the shop at the dealer after I've had it for two weeks. I do not want the vehicle and was told that Midwest has already sent the money for it to the dealership. The engine and oil light is on and at this point if the loan isn't funded yet. I ask that it not be funded. The vehicle's fan stays on after the engine is turned off and this has been nothing but hell for me. I am willing to surrender the vehicle at this point even though the first payment isn't due yet."
