"I came to Heartland with the Gordon buyout. A lot of drivers jumped ship but I decided to stay for a year and see how the company was. I never regretted my decision. The had zero tolerance for me running 2 logbook or breaking other seemingly silly non-productive DOT rules or I would have given them 5 stars. Still, I've never regretted my time with them - or even after my time there. I had some issues come up and even though I was no longer employed by them they still assisted me and went to bat for me. That amazed me. I grew to like old man Gordon very, very much. He was very driver orientated. Someone suggested the CEO of Heartland was like a young Gordon. I talked with him and watched the actions he took and I think it (that he was like a young Gordon) was a correct assessment. If you're looking for a great company, willing to obey ALL the DOT rules and are willing to work - you won't be making a bad decision to go with Heartland."

"Nice place. 4 diesel fuel lanes, and about 36 truck parking spaces, it is mostly a gravel lot. The store is nice and clean inside and the sales associates are freindly. The coffee was pretty good also."
