"Very disappointed!! I like that they are local and made in the USA. We purchased one 5/6 years ago and it was great. It got worn and we bought a new one in Jan of 2021. Finally put it in the water in July and with in 20 mins it had a huge rip in it. A 13yr old boy probably 115-125lbs jumped off our dock (1-2’ above the water) onto the pad and his foot went right through. Wave pads has a video on their fb w/a 300+lb man jumping onto another brand and going through it. They tout “this won’t happen on a wave pad!” Well it did and I have been trying to get it resolved ever since. We took it out of the water, rolled it up and tied rope around it to secure it. It’s been in the shed since then! I have offered to bring it to Matt to look at it and see it is still brand new but he gave me the run around for a few months and now will not answer my calls or messages. HORRIBLE customer service and poor quality products compared to their first mats."
"I would not recommend Matt or his products. I purchased in October 2020, I finally got it today. He responded to my wife and my previous review with a total lie. The shipping company (who is upset and will be writing a review of their own to clear their name) didn’t receive the product for shipping until 6/10/21. I had hoped to attach photos of the correspondence over time to show people how this company operates, but I’m not seeing that as an option (seeing first hand is better than he said/she said). I finally asked for my money back as we weren’t making progress after 8 months and they finally shipped my mat and then blamed the shipping company via communications to me (stating they had trouble getting a response from the shipping company and later claiming that I was unresponsive to the shipping company - a lie). They said it was my fault in response to my previous review. This is all a lie! I bought this mat in October as a Christmas gift for my nieces and nephews in December. I was clearly eager to receive the product (as were the kids). They have already missed out on months of use. I would not trust this company with my money if you expect to receive the product in a timely, hassle free fashion!"
"I ordered and paid for my wave pad on October 4th 2020. They were responsive at first but nothing since. I’ve sent numerous messages, nothing! I’ve called and left voicemails, nothing. When they do actually send a message back it’s always an excuse about shipping! The owner is active and will not respond. If anyone would like to see all correspondence I have it saved and documented. Now they will not refund my money! I had high hopes for this product but they clearly don’t care about customers and stealing 600.00 dollars was more important then credibility."
"I see a lot of negative notes/reviews here. But come on, it's a COVID pandemic like we've never seen before! Of course they are going to have delays from their suppliers just like everyone else. I understand the frustration, but seems to me a lot is outside of their control. We bought a new Wave Pad from them along with a couple of foam water saddles to use at our lake home in Wisconsin. They are absolutely GREAT! Well made, durable and work better than advertised. And I just know our whole family will get years of great use out of them. Don't be put off by some of the negative comments, they are all about delivery and delayed product and not about the quality. As we pull out of this difficult pandemic situation we need great small companies like Wave Pads to "keep afloat" - no pun intended! I would definitely buy more from them in the future."
"08/24/2020- Finally received my complete order from February 2020. Summer is pretty much over, it took us 6 months to get something that should have only taken 3 even with COVID-19. Hopefully the rest of you that have posted receive your orders. Update as of 07/24/20 - Still no saddles. Now since my name isn't on the order he won't deal with me. 3 of us went in on an order and my father in law put the order under his name as that is where we want the product shipped to. So he will only deal with him. I will never recommend or give this company business again.... Hope others read reviews before they purchase from the company. Will update until product arrives. - ERROR ON THE SIDE OF CAUTION IF YOU CHOOSE TO DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. We made a purchase at the Indianapolis Boat show in February 2020. He told us it would be April before we got our order. Then in April he told us it was shipping in May. Here it is middle of July and we still don't have our product. Have been given lots of run around. None of his reasons are aligning, and seems to have a new excuse every time I actually get him to respond. I was given a tracking number but the package was never scanned by USPS. He said it was picked up and lost. So he sent me another message about sending 3 different packages for my order. One of which was actually picked up by USPS and is on its way finally. On Friday July 10, 2020 he was supposed to provide me with the other 2 tracking numbers for the rest of my order. I have not received them yet. Last communication was on 07/16 stating he would get me the tracking numbers. I live 3 hours from his shop and have mentioned several times that I would meet him halfway Matt Yassinger the owner ignores that and keeps telling me he will give me a tracking number. I will never do business with him again. He is looking for distributors but I would caution anyone on doing business with him as I still don't have my product. He doesn't return phone calls or text messages. I didn't want to even give them a star but had to, to be able to post my review."
