"Pros: Paid for every hour worked unless OTR. OTR = % of load. With revolving door of drivers you will get plenty of hours Cons: Unsafe. You're expected to operate equipment that fails pretrip. Common equipment issues ignored are ABS faults, leakdowns and menial issues such as defrost/air and wipers Common to work 2-3 weeks straight, 12-18 hrs a day with no days off. The owner had the audacity to mail letters asking how to improve CSA scores Advertised but no insurance, 401k or vacation. Applied for and was never approved for vacation. After giving my two weeks notice was told you have to work for them for a year to receive vacation DO NOT give two weeks notice if you prefer to be continuously employed. They will cut your hours/loads EVEN though and no wonder they are hurting for drivers."
