"This THE WORST company I have ever had the displeasure of having a boat loan through. This company is the closest thing to a scam I have ever experienced. I cannot wait to refinance out of this loan and get with a better lender. They charge you a fee for paying your monthly payment over the phone. There is NO GRACE PERIOD. They add interest if you go one day past your due date. There is a reason why this horrible place has 1.3 stars with 123 reviews and, trust me, they do not care. All they want is your fees and interest payments. Their website is impossible to access and they charge a processing fee for paying on the phone through thr automated system. Buyer beware. Run!!"
"I'm only leaving one star because this is more of a question. Is this a collection agency? All I know is my perfect payment history for my loan was with Goldman Sachs until suddenly these guys took over SST ? I DONT UNDERSTAND. Please advise. I've never been late or missed a payment and have had my loan with Goldman Sachs for 2 years. Then this?"
"Goldman Sachs' sold my Marcus loan to this company and i didn't find out until i went to make a payment and Marcus no longer existed. So I call this company to make a payment and it was such a hassle. Their website for handling the Marcus customers was not even set up yet. I thought no big deal but tried to make a payment electronically. It never said whether or not it went through or not. So i called customer service and they said no it had not, so i made a payment through the phone with her, but asked that she double check that the first one did or did not go through because it acted like it did but gave me no transaction number or proof that it indeed had been made. so she double checked and insured me that it hadn't. It did, so minutes apart i had actually made two payments. mind you this was a week before christmas when money is tight for most people, myself included. As I don't have a choice but to use this company I obviously will continue to do so until the loan is paid off. but they are not very impressive with their site or their knowlege of their own payment system."
"Goldman Sachs transferred my loan to this company. I can't even access the website to view my account. When I called they didn't know what to do or how to fix the issue. They said my account was already updated with auto-pay transferred from Sachs, so they have all my bank information. I was given a customer service number "from the supervisor" to help me with the account and website access, which was a joke. Not only did the person not know what to do, she gaslighted me saying there was nothing wrong with the website on their end and it was my system that had the problem. There was nothing she could do about it, then when I started to tell her that I have read many reviews that state the website doesn't work for them, she hung up on me. My first payment is coming up and I am worried it will not go through and I won't know, causing a late fee and credit score ding."
"Exactly what others have mentioned. Had a loan with GS transferred to them. Made a payment to SST before my statement cut (because I could do that with GS) and they didn't apply it to the monthly amount due. I called to ask to have it reapplied. CS tried to advise me that it was applied to the amount due, it just didn't show that way on my end. I then asked what amount she saw due and she told me the full amount, not reflecting the payment made (like I tried to tell her). And then she hung up on me. Now I have to make another partial payment because I'm not trying to deal with them. I never would have chosen this company to service my loan. And their website is from 1990."
