"Very bad Spanish teacher one year, the way homework is given in a way for people not to help."

"I have 3 kids in Jr High and High School. I have found it impossible to help them with their coursework. Teachers don’t assign homework but I have one child that struggles to get work done in class, so a lot of it comes home. I feel the reason that teachers don’t send homework is because the school district uses Google classroom. Which is setup terribly! If a parent wants to help their child, it’s nearly impossible. Like, I was trying to help with a writing assignment but my child wasn’t given any directions on paper or in google classroom. The rubric didn’t show full sentences for grading criteria. So, I’m just going to stress about when I can get this information from an already busy teacher. I shouldn’t have to contact a teacher or school to help my struggling children with school work. My children can be lazy about remembering/understanding homework details but it’s the school district’s laziness of having inadequate Google classrooms. My sophomore can remember only 4 times that a class had either a paper book or digital book over 3.5 years. They mostly get notes! That’s disappointing! I went to this school 23 years ago. I didn’t do that great but I feel I had a better opportunity of actually learning than my children have."
