"I purchased my first saddle from Golians this fall. It was actually done a month early, which was wonderful! It appears to be of good quality and I was happy to find someone in the area who did fittings and built custom saddles for a decent price! The only negative I had at all was with them accidently ordering the saddle in the wrong color. At first I was very disappointed as it was a golden, honey orange color rather than dark oil, but thankfully I was able to use neatsfoot oil and olive oil and after about 4 coats it's become a beautiful dark mahogany color! The only thing I would suggest for them, is to have photos or leather samples of the different colors when choosing, so as to have a better idea of what the options look like in real life. It wouldn't have helped in my situation, but would have been nice when ordering. I also had a headstall built by them to match the saddle. It is beautiful with matching tooling and conchos, but due to the color mishap, was off in color. With a bit more oiling, I think everything will still come together beautifully! I've had the saddle about a month now and it's very comfortable and fits me perfectly! My Fox Trotter moves nicely under it also! I've included photos of the original color, the headstall and photos of my final oiling results!"
