"This office is highly disorganized. From the receptionist to Dr. Valena you get misinformation left and right. She referred us to 2 specialists outside our network (on HMO - so it is of no use to us). It took her a long time to see my son each time I went, which I figured wouldn't be the case as its a pediatric office and should be on time for littles. She charged us a copay for a checkup - and the receptionist and her gave me different stories as to why. Also referred us to have an echocardiogram when no other doctor has heard the so called "murmur" she heard. It's almost feels like insurance fraud. Stay away!"

"This office and Dr Valena used to be pretty good (about 5 years ago). But both the Dr. and office have progressively gotten worse. We set appointments only for them to be cancelled at the last minute. Most recently we were called 3 hours before our appointment and asked to come in to the office "right now", because office staff were going home. We arrived to the office 2.5 hours before our appointment, only to wait those 2.5 hours to see the Dr. We also recently have encountered fraudulent billing practices, such as being billed for tests not performed and being billed for multiple visits at the same time when only the preventive visit occurred. And what's worse is the billing department, office staff, and customer service don't do anything about it. The office staff can't show me the results of the tests that we were billed for."

"We have worked with Dr. Valena when our primary pediatrician is not available, and we love her as well! When she's the after hours on-call doctor, she is very good about immediately responding (the MOST I've had to wait for her call has been 5 minutes). She is excellent about keeping my daughters' medical history apart (my girls have VERY, VERY similar names and everyone has a hard time remembering which is which) and can recall things from memory months after and shows care in their well-being. Very attentive, professional, and respectful!"

"Dr. Valena has been my daughter's pediatrician for almost 2 years and although we usually have a long wait, I don't mind. This is due to the fact that every visit we have had with her, she gives you her utmost attention and listens to concerns you may have regarding your child. Working in the medical field and being a self proclaimed helicopter mom, I have witnessed my fair share of doctors that can be dismissive. My daughter's first pediatrician had an office policy that would bill extra for questions or concerns outside of the scheduled appointment. Truly absurd, which led me to look elsewhere. So glad I did, because as previously mentioned, Dr. Valena is very attentive and knowledgeable. She engages with my daughter and makes, what could be a scary time, more comfortable. The MAs are all very nice. I only wish that they would take walk ins because trying for a same day appointment with a sick child is next to impossible. This is understandable with a pediatric office so I'm not to upset by it. Furthermore, their on call service is helpful. I called one evening at almost 9pm for a medical concern and the on call doctor called me back immediately with orders and addressed my concerns. Despite the wait time, I highly recommend Dr. Valena's office."

"My two girls see Dr.Valena annually for their wellness check. We also go there for all their immunizations and of course when they get sick. Fortunately, they are healthy, they don't get sick often and they are on the right track in terms of their development. It has always been an excellent visit. From my kids' first pediatrician visit by Dr.Valena at the hospital post natal to these days she always show utmost care, compassion and exhibit outstanding professionalism at all times. She takes time to listen to the parents and answer questions which is really great. Her staff are also very professional and welcoming. Their office is always busy and for sure they get tired but they never show it to their patients. They are always smiling and are friendly especially with the kids. The entire office just make the kids feel comfortable and happy. That kind of environment make anxious parents trust that their kids are in great hands. I will forever be grateful for Dr.Valena's exemplary care and unmatched service to my girls. THANK YOU ALL FOR BEING THERE FOR OUR KIDS!"
