"Run as far away as you can, this woman is the horribly unprofessional and apparently find it ok to be extremely rude and ok to insult people bringing their children, step children or grandchildren and let me add that she said “ so your nobody” what kind of dr talks to someone like tht… do yourself a favor and find a better dr bc this woman doesn’t deserve to work with children and in order to attire this review I had to leave a star she doesnt deserve even tht 1 star"
"I went there for a regular check up for my daughter. I informed her that I didn’t want my daughter that day to have a curtain shot that I didn’t agree with giving her at the that time. She was completely disrespectful, and made me feel like I was a horrible parent because I didn’t want to give my daughter a curtain shot that is not required for a child to have at her age. She told me that since I didn’t give her that particular shot that day that my daughter and I will no longer be able to get service from that Dr office again or even have her as a doctor."
"Been going here since Dr. Barth (LOVED HIM) and switched to Dr. Austin out of convenience. Started off ok and for the last two years, we could not be more disappointed in her lack of empathy. Requested a check up on my son and sent me to the ER. Same thing happened again a few months later and went in for a visit, the nurse checked him out and Dr. Austin was too busy to take 5 minutes to check him out in person. Sent him to X-rays though! Got his results via the SSM MyChart and no one called to explain them to me (even when one of the tests came back positive). Had to call the office and the nurse would relay to the doc, the doc would relay to the nurse. There is ZERO actual consideration from this woman. The next recommendation (of course not given to me in person) was to take him all the way down to the Children's Hospital in STL. ZERO regard for a mother's concern even though she, herself, is a mom. Moving to a new pediatrician ASAP. I am not a regular review giver either. I do it when it only when I think I can save someone else the hassle and neglect."
"Her staff is so unprofessional. Long holds. When you call them with a sick child they will tell you to go to ER or urgent care center which is not affordable for us. I scheduled my son's 4 year well check up. He turned 4 in August and I got an appointment for October 21st. Her nurse called and said that she will be out for that and asked me if I want to reschedule. I said yeah sure and she scheduled me for November 5th at 1PM. I got there to found out that I had no appointment. So just tell me that why would I write a random date on my calendar? We left and we are not going back to her. So rude and so unprofessional. She is always in a rush. Like she wouldn't even spend 5 minutes in the room."
"I took my daughter today for a well check. She quickly informed me that because I did not vaccinate my child that I should have not been able to make an appointment. Dr. Austin could have been way more professional and still gave exceptional service. She chose though to be rude, short, and not willing to give her best despite her opinion. I get your opinion but as a parent you have no right to treat a person as though they are not worthy of your service. Mind you my insurance did pay you, it's not like I can get a refund. Next time, don't forget your making an impression on the little people too. My daughter is 11 yrs old, she knew you were being rude without even telling her....why? Because my daughter's last doctor was kind, and unwavering about her service not her need to have HER opinion to be heard. Just simply not impressed today!!"
