"Overall, I have had a disappointing experience working with Maese Fulmer CPAs due to a lack of pricing transparency. Firstly, they will not provide a quote of "How much will my taxes cost?" when asked, instead stating that all work is billed by the hour. I had already gotten quotes from other CPAs and had an idea of what my taxes would cost, so I decided to just go with Maese Fulmer. Normally this should not be an issue as there is a certain level of trust expected when working with professionals. After they completed my taxes - I was very surprised when the final invoice amount was $300-350 more than any of the other quotes we had received! I would hate to learn how much they charge for small business owners or those with more complex taxes. To top it off, the invoice was just a single number. It didn't even show how many hours were billed, and might as well have been pulled out of a hat. It took some back and forth with their staff before they were able to produce a document detailing the hourly breakdown of what I was charged. Because they have already performed the service it was too late to switch to a different CPA. I would not have done business with them if I knew the final price beforehand and certainly won't be doing business with them in the future. I felt like they took advantage of their pricing structure to take in clients and overcharge them after the service was complete. Lastly, I will note that the quality of work has been fine (although communication is disorganized). I haven't been audited by the IRS yet so I have no idea if they made any mistakes. I might still be a client if the prices were in line with the market rate!"

"AVOID this Accountant - 3 years ago she Diane as well as her other accountant Leslie failed to simply answer our questions and do the work. As a Client we where Disappointed that she would refuse to work on the account, thus sending a letter without explanation that this was her business and did not need ours. Likewise, ethics lacked here. Little did we know there is Much Better as we found an Accountant Firm that actually works for our Business and answers questions."

"I have been a client of Diane Fulmer's for over 8 years for both our businesses and personal along with family members. She partnered almost 2 years ago with Ben Maese. Since that partnership, customer service, response time and general basic communication has gone from great to minimal and pricing has doubled. I am working on moving all my accounts to another CPA. I am sorry that Diane is not involved with the practice anymore or it's minimal, she was s super star. I was shocked that she did not even notify her clientele when the merge happened. This is what happens when California takes over a Texas practice. I wish Diane all the best, but will be moving elsewhere."

"I'm working with Diane for a couple of years now. First as a self-employed individual with my own LLC and now as a regular salaried FT employee. Her staff is always first class and Diane herself reviews tax return documents etc. before everything is being finalized. Her office was able to incorporate QuickBooks Online when I was still using it for my LLC as well. I highly recommend Diane's office."

"Diane has done my taxes for many years. She is extremely professional and personable and I highly recommend her. Her staff is excellent as well. I have to do a couple of out of state returns and always seem to be late getting of the paperwork, but it never is an issue. My returns are always completed in a timely manner."
