"DECEPTIVE BILLING PRACTICES. If you have a Homestead being protested, Do not use them. They pulled a fast one on me. Their contract says the savings on “market value”. You are not taxed by Bexar County on “market value” for Homestead, you are taxed on the “assessed value” after your homestead exemption is subtracted from the “market value”. They charged me over $500 for bringing down the market value of my home for a “hypothetical tax savings” if I were paying taxes on market value. However I was paying on the assessed value of a Homestead. Bexar county only taxes an owner on market value if your property is not a Homestead. The Bexar County tax collector does not tax you on your market value for your Homestead, they tax the value of your home after your homestead exemption is assessed. So I did not save anything on my actual tax bill I paid yet Prime Tax charged me about $550 claiming it was a tax savings but I did not actually save on the amount of taxes paid because of the homestead exemption. I still paid the same amount of tax even though they were able to lower the market value on my home. I did not have a savings on my tax bill for 2018 yet Prime 1 Tax charged me as if I had! DECEPTIVE!!"

"My family has used their services for over 20 years and myself almost 15 years. They're not bad if you only have 1 account to protest but a little expensive (35% of what they save you on taxes). Their billing structure is terrible for multiple accounts and difficult to keep track of, if you pay bills just because you receive one then it's ok but if you verify your expense accounts this is terrible. The final letter was rude with an additional flat fee ($100.00 per tax account) that would be more than they can save you. So basically, pay them more than you would if you just did nothing and let your taxes rise at the standard rate. I do not recommend them at all."
