"Beautiful building with interesting features. Decided to do a self guided tour without opting for dome tour based on time but looked interesting."
"Have been to a number of state and provincial capitol buildings and this is one of our favorites. The 15 year renovation resulted in an exceptional building and the interior murals, stained glass, sculptures and the dome with all the marble, bronze and copper were all top notch. Speaking of the dome, do the tour with the guide to see the inner and outer dome as well a seeing the view of the city from the top - afraid of heights or physical limitations will make it virtually impossible to climb the 296 steps of the tour. A must do if in town!"
"If you find yourself downtown and need something to do, I'd highly recommend a tour of the capitol dome. It's 296 stairs with 3 rests along the way. If you are afraid of heights, this isn't for you. In the summer it is very muggy until you can get to the top and step into the fresh air. It's free to enter and tours run multiple times a day."
"Beautiful, rich history across each level of the building. It's stunning inside and out. They offer guided historical tours and If you want to go all the way up the dome, you'll need to tread several steps. Anyone who can't go up the stairs by themselves is prohibited."
"Amazing Tour! We headed to a lot of different areas and who knew this place had 9 stories? It's also amazingly beautiful, I mean it's not everyday that you see 24 karat gold painted walls. It also was, in my opinion, an interesting adventure! And is also an amazing experience that will last! I also got to see the dome and it's so cool up there especially inside the dome (before you get to the top part) and it's obvious that there is a lot of history in this building. I also wish to show pictures of the place and I wish they would alow me to show more then 50 Pictures as, I have an absolutely astonishing amount of photos and I would love to add them!"
