OSF Medical Group - Surgery

"I had hernia surgery performed by Dr. Jennifer Kim. She used a robot. I had inguinal hernias (both sides) and a smaller one around the umbilical cord. Everything went smooth and successful. No muss no fuss. OSF staff were great. Dr. Kim explained things very clearly and has a great personality. I gave a 5 because I really can't imagine how my experience could have been better."

"My Surgeon Dr.Chandler Donovan Wilfong was really nice and the his staff was really nice helped me and friends really well.My Experience was top 5 with them and I was really glad and happy that Dr.Chandler Donovan Wilfong drew me a couple diagrams of a normal stomach and my stomach whats not normal really helped me to understand. Thank u all very much. The only bad experience that Eileen ,her brother Eddy ,her cousin Pat and I was the Elevator 57 on 3rd floor of your office building. After we got to go down on 1st floor it made 2 loud noises then dropped us down to another floor then stopped on 2nd floor for about 20 to 25 minutes we were stuck in the elevator. We all got scared and Eileen managed to find a Emergency call button and got a hold of security guard to get us all out.I have anxiety disorder and felt worried and panicky plus get feeling cross phobic inclosed locked elevators and plus my legs were getting achy from standing for long periods of time.please make sure u get that elevator 57 fixed.cause I really dont want to experienced getting stuck in elevators anymore.thank u all. He was attentive to my questions and concerns. I would recommend expertise to those who need a good surgeon. The operating room staff and recovery room nurses were awesome."

"The group of nurses are amazing! Melody in particular, sat with my 89 year old mother and talked with her through the whole procedure mom had. Dr. Wilfong is calm, friendly, informative, easy to talk to and he doesn't make you feel rushed. He even called personally with the biopsy results from mom's procedure! If I ever need a general surgeon, I'll be asking for Dr. Wilfong and his nurses."

"You would think having your back cut open wouldn't warrant a 5 star review but this practice was very efficient and accommodating. From the lady smiling at the front desk to the super sweet nurse, Katie, to the calm talented physician Benjamin R. Gerber, MD. They made me feel so comfortable and got the job done. It's a one stop shop really. I went there to have a mark on my back evaluated. Dr. Gerber explained what it was and the treatment, then took care of it right in the office. I really liked his laid back attitude. For example he said "I'll send this in and in the million to one shot that there is something wrong, I will call you." I would definitely recommend this practice and Dr. Gerber."
