"Not a good company. We went through 3 BT’s in 6 months. The first BT had very little interaction with my child and acted as if she saw a ghost just staring off most of the time. She admitted she had not had alot of training and lacked support and eventually put in her notice of leave after about 2 months citing she couldn’t give my son what he needs and the few suggestions she gave the company were overlooked. The 2nd BT was okay, more energetic and willing to connect with my son but ended up leaving due to lack of support from the BCBA amongst other issues including her suggestions and ideas being overlooked as well. The last BT showed up everyday and put forth some effort but overall he lacked support from the BCBA and he claimed to be only doing this for 2 months. Didnt display emotions well and seemed more robot like and monotone which is not going to catch the attention of any child. I asked him what did he think so far about how sessions were going with my son and his response was he has no choice but to be here….which was rude. The BCBA who is supposed to be training the BT’s was supposed to be coming to assist twice a week but would only show up about twice a month. Every tuesday and thursday to be exact for the entire 2 hours and 30 minute seasions, but literally every tuesday she either would call and say she is going to be late because it was an accident or she had an emergency or she was sick or the pet was sick or her hsuband was sick…or she would just call in and not show up. Then would come on thursday but would be late and only attend the session for 15-30 minutes. She told the robot BT on a friday via email which he relayed to me that she would be in attendance at the following thursday session but didnt mention tuesday, I asked him what about tuesday? He then looked with a blank stare and said maybe she meant tuesday I will ask her. He never got back to me on it and on tuesday she called in sick meaning she pre-meditated this and never planned on coming tuesday which is why she said she would be here on thursday. This place sucks and is highly disorganized because the very least was done to help my son. My wife and I both had to tell the BT’s what to do at least 80% of the time because they were so confused. My son is very active and hyper at times so it can be difficult but the point is to adjust and figure out a way to connect with him which has been done in the past with a great BT from another company who did everything right but had to move away due to family being in the military. This place is a joke so do not waste your time. My wife also complained and left a review and the owner had the nerve to only respond about internal gossip from the BT’s which was another issue we found out about, saying her workers dont gossip about clients but didnt address any of the other issues we had. BT’s should be trained to handle and adjust to certain situations for these relationships to work. BCBA’s should be supportive as needed and apply EFFORT and have their BT’s back so they dont feel confused or look lost and distraught. Interaction is everything in ABA therapy and with no interaction or connection it wont work. I asked the first BT had she had any other clients like my son. She said no, both were very quiet and not very active and one just plays with trains all day while she watches him. How is that helping the kid? Watching him play with trains? Are you a baby sitter or a BT?Red flag from the start. TRAIN YOUR PEOPLE TO DO THEIR JOB. That’s what you get paid for."
"Do not waste your time KGH only cares about money and babysitting vs actually helping your child reach the potential they need in life and providing parent training. Don’t believe me go research KGH employee reviews on other sites. When you advocate about inexperienced BTs and a BCBA that cancel supervision every other week, they will make it seem like you’re difficult and your family isn’t a good fit for the company like it’s your fault you want them to do what they get paid for. Was with this company for over 6 months, within that time had 3 behavioral techs, with 2-3 months experience. The first tech left due to lack of training/support from the BCBA, the 2nd left due to benefits but also had concerns about new programming and training, third tech had two months experience and was trying but could only do so much with little training. All the BTs had the same complaint there’s no support/training on how to effectively work with our kids. The stuff they had my son working on was not functional, after six months there was still no behavioral plan, the BCBA would have parent training but literally didn’t train us on anything, would just ask us did we have any questions or concerns, just to take the questions and concerns back to the clinical director and ceo to make the family seem like we’re asking for too much, we helped train the KGH BTs in our home more than the company. The CEO and director rather listen to gossip vs speaking to the families directly and using that feedback to make improvements. They didn’t care about my son and they won’t care about your child either. I have 15 years of experience dealing with therapist/BTs/BCBAs and have built relationships and knowledge over the years I know when the job is not being done correctly to benefit the kids it’s sad that families new to ABA/therapy may encounter this company and not know they are just collecting insurance checks and copays but not doing right by families. I hope this review helps someone."
