Reviews of Cherry Hill Counseling
"Beth Haines should not be counseling teenagers, she is not married and has no kids. She should not be involved in complex family matters, seek counseling elsewhere with someone other than her for family matters and for children, especially complex ones that involve alienation. After going to Beth Haines, I have seen that my child has gotten worse. Has developed a pattern of disrespect, has refused counseling with me, has been on anxiety medication, has allowed my ex to brainwash my child with false narratives, refuses to do any basic chores I ask, falsely accused me of things that came from my ex's mouth, and intentionally tries to upset me. If you do not want your relationship with your child ruined dont go here. Maybe good with dogs but not kids."
"Beth Haines changed my life. I started counseling as a child for anxiety and never had a great experience. Eventually, I gave up and stopped therapy. It wasn't until high school that I started experiencing severe anxiety and panic attacks, which led to major depressive disorder. After going to a psychiatrist for anti-anxiety and depression medication, I was still experiencing such intense symptoms. To me, the medication seemed as though I put a bandaid over a bullet wound and needed to seek counseling to uncover some of the more deep-rooted issues. I was recommended Beth Haines by a trusted friend and continue to receive counseling from her after three years. She gave me the ability to navigate difficult conversations and helped to mend "broken" relationships. She utilizes breathing techniques and mindfulness to relax the body and mind. Over time, I reached my goal of weaning off the medication and living a fulfilled life with methods to manage the anxiety."
"I do not recommend Beth Haines. Sometimes one parent after a divorce leverages a "counselor" and pays money to said counselor in order to "get their ear" and dump bunch of garbage and lies on this counselor, and in turn steer the direction of counseling in their favored direction. It takes a wise and keen counselor to discern this type of alienation, and Beth Haines does not have this experience. To such a poorly trained counselor, it does not matter if this lying parent has been sued for defamation of character after false allegations, AND LOST. It doesnt matter if you won joint custody and fought your whole life to be an involved parent, and if you are a good parent and proved it to the courts. It doesn't matter if the alienating parent has severe delusional ideations and diagnoses from psychologists. Such a parent can leverage this counselor, as long as they pay their bills. Unfortunately this is the case with my ex and child who went to Beth Haines. I intend to warn others as much as possible."
"I am someone who does not write reviews on my experiences at restaurants, or share my opinions about services I received, etc. online via Google Reviews. Rather (and most often), I keep my thoughts privately. However, I would be remiss if I remain private and not share the incredible (and monumental) experience that my family had with Beth Haines. Our family, especially our children has had insurmountable challenges to cope with since my divorce more than 5 years ago. There's one specific relationship that, as a mother who feels responsible to always protect, I no longer have answers to fix. We are so fortunate to have found Beth who was an amazing counselor beyond I could have ever imagined. She was tough but kind, firm but sympathetic, resilient but flexible. All these 'seemingly' contracting adjectives is what made Beth different from other counsellors we've met. Above all, she was patient and made you feel that each session is as important as the first even after 7 months of weekly sessions. What she handled in our family was tough and she was able to mend our family's hearts from the many years of pain. I couldn't thank you enough, Beth, for saving an important relationship in our family. No other words can express my gratitude, other than "Thank You." You are one of a kind."
