"DO NOT GO HERE! This provider is the worst I’ve experienced in over a decade of receiving mental health services. The front desk staff is rude for no reason, I called them on different days and they always had a poor attitude and were not helpful. When you request services they make it seem like you’ll be seeing Dr. Nowell but that is not the case. I was given the run around in even receiving services. Then the person I had didn’t know how to use Zoom properly. I had to keep calling the front desk to let them know the counselor canceled the session (on accident). The time of these sessions kept changing as well. At first I was told they’d be an hour. Then 45mins. Then back to an hour. I was never asked if my insurance had changed (something I know should be asked each visit because I’ve worked as receptionist at offices.) and was told AFTER several sessions that the they were not in network. The flat rate charge for each session is a whopping $250 which is absurd. There is no number for the billing department. I was given an email and when they replied I was not even given the information I asked for and was told they’d give me a call. They told me the same thing they wrote in the notes for the receptionist which I ALREADY KNEW and was not what I asked in my email. This is so unprofessional and poor service. Honestly this place needs to be reviewed by some sort of legal dept because my insurance co. could not even find any claims from this provider. This place is a scam!"
"I wish I could rate a 0. My daughter was being treated at this facility for depression, anxiety and self harm. She had less than 10 sessions. I contacted them 4 times about the bill so I could stay on top of it. They continuously told me that there was a $0 balance and that some insurance companies were covering mental health during covid. We continued the sessions even though things got worse for my daughter and hospitalization was recommended. On the day of the recommendation I suddenly get a call from them saying I owe over $1400. I told the woman I would call back to make a payment plan (even though I was told multiple times that I owe nothing) that I was dealing with something more severe at the moment. The receptionist got an attitude and hung up. She then canceled all the future appointments that were scheduled. When I contacted them to see why, there was no answer. This place is VERY unprofessional and filled with liars and rude people."
"She's amazing and instantly made me feel empowered again after a tramatic event. She walked me thru it and got me back to normal. I can't recommend her enough."
"The first time I went to this office, they gave me Dr. Chandaranah. I have a handicapped child & have been through a stroke, a couple of heart attacks and many other health issues. My daughter was with me & wanted to come in the session with me, which was perfectly fine with me & the doctor. Once we were in the office, the Dr. changed her mind & told my daughter to leave. As soon as my daughter left, the Dr. started severely mentally abusing me & one of the things she told me, was that having that close of a relationship want normal. She proceeded by bragging about herself & severely abusing my character. This woman has no business being a Dr. in psychiatry. She completely took full advantage of my vulnerabilities & as a Dr., that's so wrong on so many levels. I told the owner of the firm, Dr. Nafrotiti Nowell & her way of resolving the matter was not to charge me & talk to Dr. Chanaranah, which admitted some of the facts but kept her on the firm. Correcting me if I'm wrong but if that was my firm & one of the doctors was abusing the patients, (and there's been plenty of other reports, I unfortunately found out after the fact), I certainly would do away with her instead of risking my firms reputation. The lesson for me was to really look into the doctors reputation while choosing."
"Dr. Nowell was very attentive and listened well. I looked forward to our future appointments and seeing how we progress."
