"I was nothing but pleased with the treatment and service of everyone here. We traveled 2 hours and spent the night to be here by 5:30AM and everyone was so welcoming and friendly. They made sure my 4yr old and I were totally at ease. Josh, the anesthesiologist, was great. He empathized with me as a parent and made me 100% comfortable. Our procedure took about 45 minutes and Dr. Devries and Josh came in as soon as it was done to let me know how it went. I'd absolutely recommend these guys. This was my first experience with having my kids under anesthesia and I was STRESSING but they were so great and explained everything every step of the way."
"I was very wary of this place because of all the horrible reviews left here on Google. While I’m sure each of those opinions were honest, I felt compelled to share MY experience. My 2.5yr old had a scheduled oral procedure this week and our experience was nothing short of amazing. We travelled from Lubbock to Amarillo the day prior, as my son’s appointment was scheduled for 4:45am the next morning and felt the safest decision was to just stay in Amarillo overnight. As soon as we arrived, the entire staff was very alert and friendly, seemed eager to get things rolling, and offered complimentary coffee and water while we waited to be called back. I truly believe their intention was to get us taken care of as best and as quickly as possible so we could get back home and rest, since it was so early. Once we were called back, the nurse realized pretty quickly how uncomfortable my son was and in attempts to calm him a bit, she gave him a couple toys and talked to him so sweetly, so he’d take more kindly to her— and it worked! Both the doctor and anesthesiologist were very thorough and straightforward about what would be taking place before, during and after my son’s procedure. They gave me the opportunity to ask any questions I had and answered them all before moving forward. After speaking with them, my mind was completely at ease. My son’s procedure took less than thirty minutes and his teeth looked AMAZING after. They even called the very next day to follow up and ask how my son was doing after his visit! I don’t usually leave google reviews unless something was just absolutely horrible or absolutely wonderful, and I can say with confidence that I was very pleased with our visit to Domain Surgical. I would definitely recommend this place to any and everyone for their dental care needs. If you have an upcoming appointment with Domain Surgical, please do not let the older reviews deter you from attending your appointment. This has been the best experience we’ve had, thus far, regarding my son’s dental care— and he’s almost three years old! I hope my words help bring some peace to a parent in need, because I know that had I seen just a couple more positive reviews on this place, I would’ve felt a whole lot better going into our appointment. 5 stars from this family! Way to go, Amarillo!"
"Drove from Midland to Amarillo on a Thursday to be there for a 5:30 a.m. appointment for my 2 1/2 year old grandson’s Oral Surgery. Staff started going thru pre-op topics with us. I was getting worried right off the bat when she was talking about dry sockets and not to use straws after the surgery. My grandson was not there for any type of tooth extraction. They took my grandson from our arms and into the surgical room. About 35 minutes later they call us and that all went well and he’s ready to go. WTH! He was still under the signs of the anesthesia. The Dr. never came out and talked nor discussed what it was that he found. We knew it was a lump under his tongue but again we were never informed by anyone on what it was!!! Long story short the next day Saturday morning we drove back to Mildland. Grandson was not doing well. They sent him home with no type of antibiotics at all! Later in the event my grandson is admitted to Midland Memorial hospital VIA Emergency room. Severely dehydrated, infected, and just not doing good at all. Midland Dr’s were calling Amarillo for information about the type of procedure was done so that would know how to treat his issue. Well guess what??? No one ever answered the phone calls. A total lack of communication from the beginning to the very end. Would not recommend this place after our ordeal and having to see our grandson go thru this at such an early age. Thanks to Midland Memorial for administering the very much needed antibiotics that my grandson needed."
"I drove to Amarillo for a scheduled surgery only to find out the day of that my sons surgery had been canceled. I was told it would be a 4-5 hour wait before he can get worked into the schedule. Then on my way home after 9 I was finally able to speak to the office manager who then told me he would’ve been seen in an hour. Christopher didn’t seem to know what was going on. Alma didn’t have any information for me and handed me off to someone else who didn’t know anything either. I WILL NEVER TRUST THESE PEOPLE AGAIN! I spent time and money to make sure my son was there for a surgery he NEEDED! They are unprofessional and rude! Update: I was NOT notified the day before, I was notified 30 minutes before. And I was NOT OFFERED TO GET WORKED IN I WAS TOLD IF HE WAS APPROVED TO HAVE ANOTHER SURGEON WORK ON HIM THEM IT WOULD BE 4-5 hours. Nobody in the office knew what they were talking about or what was going on."
"Staff was friendly enough but lacking in communication. Expect long wait times, bri g something to entertain your kids if they are the ones getting the procedure.. During the wait time there was absolutely no communication in between on running behind, how long our wait would be, nothing. There was also an insurance issue that should have been resolved long before our appointment, so I honestly feel like the hold up was waiting for their insurance department to show up and take care of the issue. However, staff was apologetic, and cheered my daughter up with a few silly toys. Overall. The experience could have been better. Hopefully communication throught this side gets better to prevent further issues like this."
