Reviews of Chicago,IL Historical Water Tower
"This is an iconic building in Chicago which dates back to 1869. It is located right in the middle of the Michigan Avenue shopping mecca. It miraculously survived the Chicago Fire of 1871 and has stood proudly since then (though obviously it is no longer used as a water tower). It has undergone two renovations since its original construction."
"The water tower is a historic building located in heart of Chicago US. One of famous tourist attractions but there are no guided tours here available."
"Great water pressure in my apartment shower thanks for that"
"The Chicago Water Tower (1869) is one of the few building to has survived to the Great Chicago Fire of 1871 in all city, and the unique in the Old Chicago Water Tower District. It is located in a small park of The Magnificent Mile (806 N Michigan Ave) of Chicago. The tower was constructed to house a large water pump, intended to draw water from Lake Michigan."
"Pretty interesting to see while on your way up Michigan Ave. located right in the middle of the Magnificent Mile, you can sit in one of the chairs nearby and relax for a while. Sometimes they have exhibits in the tower, which can be enjoyable too."
