"AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! They DO NOT care at all about their patients. If you need help, TOO BAD, you're on your own. Now that I got my summary rant with some ALL CAPS out of the way, here are some details --- My CPAP machine stopped working a little over two weeks ago, I've called this office over ten times, left at least five messages, and the one time I got through to someone on 2/29, they told me they'd call me back and I'm still waiting for that call as of 3/5. I submitted messages directly to the doctor in the patient portal and got no response. Since I never heard from them, I reached out to my insurance company to understand my options and they said they'd pay for a new machine once they get an authorization letter from my doctor. I called more and left more messages but see above for how that went. I ended up buying a machine with my own money using an old prescription since despite this office's way of working, my sleep apnea still persists. I have been a patient since late 2020 and have not met the doctor once, I didn't even know their name until recently. The first year as a patient, no one bothered to follow up or check in on me; my official follow up wasn't until two years after my initial study when someone at their office stumbled upon my info. This doctor, whoever they are, does not care about his patients. The nurses' office never picks up. The only people you can get ahold of are the very nice scheduling and billing people since I presume they don't want potential new patients to know how little they care but want to make sure they get paid for their minimal service. Avoid them like the plague, it would be impossible for another sleep medicine provider to care less than these people do."
"My husband received attention via zoom, they call first to collect the copayment, they never called my husband, then they sent a bill for a no show appt. I do called the billing department, but they did not care and sent another bill, I did not have the choice to send the payment. I do have the proof that they never called us. They are looking just for money, they don't care about their patients."
"I have been a patient of Dr. Simmons since my sleep study in the clinic lab in March 2020. When I initially had difficulty finding a CPAP mask that was effective and did not cause discomfort, staff were very patient and provided guidance that ultimately led to a good mask experience. They have contacted me on a regular basis to assess my status and answer questions. For the past two months, I have been fortunate to participate in cutting edge technology developed by CSMA for enhancing sleep monitoring. I highly recommend CSMA."
"I did not have a good experience with Comprehensive Sleep Medicine Associates. I cannot say anything about my doctor because he/she never met with me--it was practitioners & techs. My issue was primarily with their billing, which was consistently erroneous to the point of 1 1/2 years of contacting them between calling, writing letters, and sending emails to try to get the bills corrected. They were misapplying payments and charges were not aligned with my insurance Explanation of Benefits. Sometimes I wouldn't receive responses to my emails with the billing department for weeks, even up to 3 months, and I often had to resend emails or followup to ask for assistance again. It was highly unprofessional and over more than a year, they never satisfactorily resolved my issues. So I've found a new doctor."
"They were very thorough in diagnosing my sleep apnea, about 4 years ago. They have been tracking my usage over time and making adjustments as necessary. Ms. Hernandez, P.A., has been working with me for about a year. I'm very comfortable with her and impressed by her. I can't give 5 stars because I have had trouble with their billing office (which is in North Carolina) and with their main office in The Woodlands, Texas, in obtaining routine shipments of CPAP supplies. The care has been very good, and I will stay with them for now."
