"I went to Dr. Swegler to change types of birth control on February 6 of this year. At that appointment, I signed the form to order a nexplanon and was told I would receive a call to schedule the insertion before March. Just after the first week of March passed, I called her office to see if there was an update but everyone was busy, so I was told they would call me back. A week passed and I didn’t receive a call back so I decided to call again. The person was apologetic and said that everyone was busy at that time but I would receive a call back by the end of that day since it was the second time I had called. Two entire weeks passed and I never received a call, so I called for a third time. Again, everyone was busy, but they called me back the next day only to tell me that they have no record of my change in medication and the order was never placed so I would have to come back into the office to resign the form and then wait even longer to get it inserted. Not only was this whole experience unprofessional and frankly ridiculous, I will not be returning to get the nexplanon because I am nervous that if Dr. Swegler inserts it and I find my body does not react well, it might take months and endless phone calls to get an appointment to get it removed. I cannot recommend her and her office less."

"This was the first primary care doctor I saw here in Texas and I will not go to another. I went based off of some reviews I saw online not knowing any doctors in the area and I feel I got very lucky I stumbled upon this place in my search for a doctor here. The experience I had at Village Medical was honestly the best I've had anywhere. I wish I could take this practice and the staff back to Kansas with me. I was expecting the usual in and out but they were very thorough and sat and spoke with me for a very long time and made sure I felt better before I even left. I'm so used to the quick chat about whatever is going on and not even being physically looked at followed by "Sounds like you have this, here's some pills, goodbye." But I was here for about 2 hours and they did a very thorough assessment, a few tests, and some treatments before I left as well as setting up follow up care. I've never had an experience like this with a medical practice before. They really wanted to get to the root of the problem and make sure I got the right diagnosis and get better and took their time in doing so. If I could rate higher I would. All medical practices should be like this. Dr. Rodriguez and her staff went far beyond anything I have experienced or expected."
