"At first I was super excited about the Subutex detox program because I felt amazing however the staff was shorthanded they weren't on the same page there was no form of communication between staff members and/or between the staff and clients about the rules regulations and the general rules for immediate termination. I made day 15 into the program 21 days. Yes it was my fault, but I chose to be lazy and slack off one day the next day I wasn't able to wake up on time and I missed my dosage and therefore what was the point of going in. On that second day being absent I start looking through the pretty thick stack of paperwork that hardly anyone touched on at least nothing important things. I found out and was devastated that if you miss two days in a row, even if you don't relapse that you will be terminated from the program. That was back in September when I was discharged of 2016. I was supposed to go back in for my last and final chance with the program on November 9th 2016. All was going well I did my drug test and because I'm a female they did a pregnancy test, let me rephrase that they actually did two pregnancy tests because even though I don't have and haven't had period in years my pregnancy test showed two faint positive lines. I'm 37 years old almost 38 I've been a heroin addict since I was 26 or 27 years old I started out with pills when I was 17 due to extensive dental surgery. I was shocked that I was pregnant but more shocked that I was refused treatment and referred to another County b******* ass program being methadone which is something that was already on prior to being on Subutex. People use Subutex to get off of methadone and all other kinds of opiates and opioids. I hope that me missing two days in a row was worth it too there protocol and rules and practices because I would have been detox by now or at least about almost 2 months and I would have been able to deal with being pregnant but I wouldn't Ave been turned away I told you go get blood work to make sure that I am pregnant when clearly we just did two tests and I am pregnant which is kind of an act of God a really really cruel God. So if you get into this Subutex program or if you're entertaining the idea thoroughly read and ask questions about every piece of paper work that is put in front of you or that isn't in front of you because I wouldn't wish this on anyone. I was seeking help for my addiction and I didn't get that that's an understatement and I hold them responsible. Get your s*** together Travis County you f****** morons. Put your heads out of your asses and think about what social work means to you or what lcdc means to you as a counselor. Are you really helping people or are you just corralling them through a maze not unlike cattle... in the name of treatment, that's a joke. The staff I experienced play office and collect a guaranteed check for unconvincing sharades. I'm a professional, and look here's my credentials I work for Travis County I even have my own office, you should trust me I'll help you'....just be aware."
