"We happened to be nearby while my husband was doing a puppet show, so my dog and I walked down to see the historical buildings. They are not open in the winter, but we walked around the grounds and read the very informative interpretive signs, and admired the outside of the historical buildings. I would very much like to visit again during the summer, so I can see the inside of the buildings and learn a bit more about their history."

"The Elk Grove Village Historical Society which runs the museum in conjecture with the Park District has a actual farm house originated from the mid 1850's with a few updates with a barn and other out buildings. The historical society has a board with two employees that helps gather information and related items associated with Elk Grove and is looking for more members to join it's board members which meets four times a year.
