"Not a good place to get educated. First of all I tried to enroll to a continuing education program since last year it took me a whole year paying for those program courses when the class was almost to be concluded I heard some of the classmates saying they got financial aid and some of us didn’t I got angry of that because starting at the beginning they didn’t told be I could be eligible to apply for the TPEG whatever. The whole class I couldn’t learn anything just waiting every single assignment and instruction from the professor but didn’t use this class to be prepare for the Commercial license on the field I was reaching. So I got disappointed that I have to learn on a small amount of time ONLINE! on an better price knowing that they were offering after the program I got graduated another one expensive and to get the same license. Don’t waste your time you guys could do more than this better certification and better knowledge god bless you all! Other thing to talk about I’m trying to enroll another program and they were not able to help me getting financial aid so I tried to call them back many times and didn’t respond."
"I called not too long ago asking one simple question not making anyone do hurdles to help me and I don’t understand why people have an attitude this early in the day and talk to people who might be interested in joining your school and say things like “like I just said …” there is no need for the sly attitude. Do better at communicating. You’re trying to get people to join your school and your community, not shy away and look elsewhere."
"This school deserves 0 stars. I’m a transfer student from ACC in round rock. I submitted my application for HCC beginning of December. To make a long story short, they sat on my application for over a month. Then my transcripts until I came up to the school several times (from Austin, Tx mind you) before anything was done. Here we are 1/18/2024 and I’m still not enrolled in any classes nor has my transcript been evaluated ect. No one ever has answers and continues to tell me I have to wait. The semester won’t wait but I’m suppose to. Because of HCC’s negligence I’ll have to start the semester late at San Jacinto. But I’m already having much better results. Also San Jacinto is ranked like 36 in Texas and HCC 71… go ravens."
"I’ve had some nice professors but literally talking to financial aid and business office is a joke. No one knows what they’re talking about. They’re guessing whenever you inquire about your financial aid/account. I am SO exhausted from dealing with them the last couple of days. I’m owed a refund and NOBODY could tell me WHY my refund was still holding. Just kept being told “check back later”. Finally, one person with a brain figured out it was due to a hold. Something I could have BEEN handled. Now, I have to wait up to another 72 hours for my funds. It’s ridiculous and seriously considering switching to LoneStar."
"This whole experience has been pretty nerve racking. No one can really assist or give any answers. I went to the school physically Saturday. Due to me sitting in the lobby for almost an hour. I registered also btw. Prior to that I called Friday and was told that night the school would be closing early. Saturday would be normal hours. I really need my badge, figure out what room my classes will be on and etc.... So I make it to the school yesterday around 3:42pm. Doors locked and some dude in the chair just straight ignoring. He purposely kept his head down and was rolling back and forth. It was difficult to see through the glass but there were other people. I could barely see someone behind the desk. So I waved and he mocked what I did to finally say the school was closed. I am ticked due to the wasted trip. This is concerning because my classes are during the week and at night. Also all the man had to do the first time was either come to the door. Or again the first time just say we are closed. Instead of trying to make me look stupid. People with a badge or if a higher authority think they can come at you any kind of way."
