Farnsworth Gallery 14520 River Road, Plano, IL 60545
About the Business
The Farnsworth Gallery, located at 14520 River Road in Plano, Illinois, is a unique art gallery and tourist attraction that showcases a variety of exhibitions. The gallery is home to a large wardrobe that was damaged during a flood in 2008, which cannot be removed from the building due to its size. To address this issue, the gallery enlisted the help of Professor Frank Flury from the Illinois Institute of Technology to design an adaptable exhibition space. The exhibitions at the Farnsworth Gallery are primarily displayed in the Barnsworth Gallery, with occasional exceptions for site-specific installations. Visit this one-of-a-kind gallery to experience art in a truly remarkable setting.

"Absolutely wonderful and inspiring place to go."
"I love this place! We went when the christmas decor was up. Great tour."
"Definately a great date idea! My husband and I went for the moonlight tour. It is a very sophisticated and stunning experience! The staff is friendly and communicative. I strongly recommend wearing good hiking shoes. For date night prepare by wearing something comfortable. Expect nature experiences, elaborate and intricate descriptions of the stories surrounding the house and history of the area. It's more of an upscale, sophisticated, kind of feel type of date night. If that's what you're seeking this is it!"
"Beautiful example of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe modern architecture."
"First of all it's Farnsworth NOT Barnsworth. It is an excellent architectural tour."
