Reviews of Flora Depot
"Visited the Flora Depot in Search of Harter-Stanford Township High School Yearbooks published during the Years my Mom and Uncle Attended. While I didn't find the Particular Yearbooks, I was Welcomed by Anna and Ron who Entertained me and Listened Intently to the Story of Our Family's Lives in Clay County. People Like Anna and Ron are Ambassadors that help Guide Us to Remember more Fully a Region and the Time Spent in it in a Positive Light, and Should be Cherished for Their Dedication and Passion in helping to Preserve the Past and helping to bring it back to Life. "This is a beautiful place for a small -medium reception, showers etc. The buildings bones are absolutely beautiful. Its very well taken care of, and makes for some beautiful pictures."
"Childhood memories flood back to me, as I spent many a day hanging out here, catching trains hither and yon, and waiting for my Dad to get off of work, as he was a bridge carpenter on the B&O Railroad. Love that they saved it from demolition, and turned it into a museum. Quite the gem for the small town of Flora!"
"Very interesting visit. I didn't realize this was a small museum until my aunt told me. It's not always open, so call ahead if you plan to visit, but it is a great place to learn about local history. If you're lucky, the older gentleman who works there can give you a tour. He is extremely knowledgeable and it's worth the visit just to talk to him about the history of the area."
"This is a wonderful place for history of Flora. Well done and intetesting. We were given a tour by accident. A man was just leaving and took us on a tour. No hours are posted when they are open. I hope that changes. The museum is very well done and interesting. Worth seeing."
