"Thank you for your response. However, we must agree to disagree. I have never attended a venue meeting for a potential event where they spend most of the time listing what is not allowed versus selling the attributes and setting a vision. Yes, we called to update you on our arrival and were, admittedly, 2 minutes late. Also, I don't know if you have my family mixed up with another tour, but fewer than 8 people attended. That said, if there is a limit on the number of people you can bring, having that information in advance would have been helpful. Indicating it on your website would be beneficial for all parties. Additionally, I scheduled our visit in advance. Touring at a time when you did not have another event scheduled would have prevented the rush, and we might have been afforded a complete and more pleasurable experience that you say you offer. Unfortunately, your rush, detailed focus on restrictions, and curt demeanor prompted the ONE person to interject and say, "I don't think we will be here long," and ask to go ahead and see the cottage since you were trying to fit it in before the bridal party arrived. We were not short on time, nor did we say that. You should also know that I question your cultural competency because, in addition to greeting us with, "Wow! Did a bus drop you people off," referring to a group of adults that included a man and a 75-year-old Black woman as "you girls" is unacceptable. While you defend your methods, unfortunately, the experience we had during those few minutes visiting your space was distasteful at best. Lastly, your defensive response to my experience versus hearing my concerns and extending a sincere apology, only strengthens my position and further solidifies my knowing that our visit was indicative of an experience that would not be a good fit for such a special day."
"If I could give this place “0” stars I would. The blatant racism was immediately prevalent in Linda’s greeting, “Wow did a bus drop you people off”. Then there was a purposeful failure to acknowledge my future husband, mother , mother-in law, grandmother, or sisters. We were then rushed to make a decision on the time for the ceremony with little explanation on the venue or before even touring the ceremony space. I have never been toured by someone with such obvious disdain for their job and lack of excitement for a wedding even though they are asking for my money. Will not be back!"
"If it were not for the DJ being so kind and helpful, I would have rated lower. I need to start by saying with what it cost to have my reception here, I would never expect these errors. First, my husband and I pulled into the parking lot. We noticed my name is misspelled on the bulletin outside. I called and spoke to someone named Holly. Not very nice and seemed to insist after she called me back to check, that my name was never wrong. It definitely was because we saw someone run out to change it, but he must have told this Holly lady that it was never wrong. That's funny because many of my guests took photos of my incorrect name. Embarrassing! If that's not worse, when it was time for my husband and I to enter... MY CAKE WAS WRONG! I walked in to see a 2 layer plain white cake. My cake was three layers with silver Dragee. My guests caught pictures of that too. I can't explain the disappointment and hurt I felt seeing that. It's a big deal considering this was my wedding! I was videoed walking to our sweetheart table and then getting up to speak to Marci and all my guests could see how hurt I was. For both of these things, all it would have taken was a few more minutes of paying attention to detail. Can't go back and undo any of it. After I spoke to a few guests to let them know the cakes were swapped, they understood. It was still very embarrassing. The remainder of the night was fun, but the beginning was gut wrenching. I'm glad others that had events here didn't experience this. The pictures are of before and after the mistakes were corrected. This company charges quite a bit. Things like this really shouldn't happen if you specialize in weddings, parties, etc. My groom and I tried to make the best of a not so great start. Thanks Marci for your efforts."
"The Royale Orleans staff was very accommodating and their DJ was super pleasant and very funny! It's so nice to have a venue where you can have the wedding ceremony and the reception all in one building. You can't miss the venue when driving down Telegraph road, they have a nice big sign so guests know exactly where to pull in and park! Photos by: @joshandlindseyphoto"
"Amazingly beautiful. We held our father's repast after his service at Jefferson Barracks. Staff was helpful. Marcia, in particular. Thank you!"
