"UPDATE (12/28/23) SO AFTER 3 WEEKS OF BACK AND FORTH PHONE CALLS WITH CHAMPS MEDICAL THE END RESULT IS THAT I WONT BE RECEIVING ANYTHING FROM THEM AT ALL. THIS WHOLE TIME OF CALLING AND GOING UP THERE ENDED UP WITH MY INSURANCE TELLING ME THAT CHAMPS MEDICAL NEVER OPENED UP A CASE SO THAT THE INSURANCE COULD REVIEW MY NEED FOR A ROLLATOR. I WALKED OUT OF THAT PLACE MAD BUT MORE JUST LAUGHING BECAUSE I KNEW SOMETHING WASN’T RIGHT. INSURANCE SAID IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN TAKEN CARE OF IN A 2 WEEK TIMEFRAME. HERE I AM 4 1/2 WEEKS OUT FROM MY SURGERY DATE AND ABOUT TO HOPEFULLY WALK AFTER THE 6th WEEK. SO JUST A HEADS UP IF YOU END UP SPEAKING WITH MARY (IN THE INTAKE DEPT) AND SHE HAS TO HANDLE YOUR CLAIM THROUGH INSURANCE JUST GO AHEAD AND TAKE CARE OF IT YOURSELF. CALL YOUR INSURANCE AND AS WHAT THEY’LL NEED TO GET YOUR MEDICAL EQUIPMENT APPROVED. BELIEVE ME IF I WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS FROM THE GET GO I WOULD HAVE JUST TAKEN CARE OF IT MYSELF. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. I WILL NEVER USE CHAMPS MEDICAL AGAIN FOR ANYTHING. THAT WAS THE LESSON LEARNED TODAY. (12/27/23) This has to be one of the slowest and most unorganized places to get anything done through insurance. Even after following their protocol for what takes place once submitting Rx I still have not received what I’ve needed from them after 3 weeks. I had surgery 4 weeks ago. By the time I get what I need from them I’m no longer going to need it. I don’t even know how many times I’ve called their office to get an update and it always seems to be the same information given to me. So after just making the effort and calling my insurance about the matter they tell me they have not received anything from them. Champs Medical told me that they had submitted information to my insurance on the 15th of December. Well representative from Blue Cross Blue Shield informed me that they didn’t see anything from Champs only from my doctors office and the hospital where I had my procedure done. Representative also informed me she left a detailed message for Champs with her direct line. So when I go to Champs Medical this afternoon no one knows anything. In conclusion I will never do business with this company again unless they are the last resort in getting what I need, and I’d still have to think about that."
"Won't shop here again. Was getting medical supplies here weekly for the last couple of months and one of the items I was purchasing all of sudden went up by $20. I HATE when businesses take advantage of folks. I shopped there because it was local and the staff was very nice and helpful. Came home after my last visit and found the same item online with a reputable company for $28 cheaper and they offer free shipping. I advise you to shop around before buying from Champs."
"This company is scamming customers! If you don't get the motorized equipment they want to bill the insurance for they make up info that you have insurance they don't accept when you actually do. After I informed them it has to be a mistake, I called medicare who is for seniors and patients with severe disabilities. The manager said she was not going to call Medicare to verify if this info was actually accurate. I asked to speak with the Owner at which point Marie said the Owner Mike doesn't answer calls or talk to customers! Very Fishy!"
"Went in to champs for a medical walking boot.When I called Felicia was so nice and knowledgeable with great customer service. This boot out of all the medical stores I called was the most affordable .She found the right size and kind of walking boot I needed . She put it aside for me so I was able to do same day pick up. I went in and a young man attended me making sure it was a good fit as well as giving some general advice of how the walking boot works along with some features it had. Great customer service with kind knowledgeable employees is a 5 ⭐️ service for me."
