"I could not see the Orthopedic Surgeon I had seen before so due to the proximity of his office I chose Dr. Hartzler, and I’m glad I did. I had a pretty smashed up left clavicle and needed it fixed. I set up an appointment and was pleased they could see me so soon. I did not have to wait long to check in or in the waiting room! After X-rays I saw Dr. Hartzler who has a VERY good “bed side” manner (Very nice guy). After looking over the X-rays he told me that he had me scheduled for surgery later that week (3 days) and explained the nature of my injury and his “fix” for it. Three days later I was in the surgical suite at North Central Baptist Hospital. He visited with me before the Anesthesiologist put me under. When I came out of it I appreciated that the Anesthesiologist had not only put me under but also put a block on the nerves covering my surgery. I had several post-surgical visits and the next day and in between visits Dr. Hartzler had texted me how well it went and if I had any concerns to just text him back. I only had one and he rapidly responded. Dr. Hartzler is one of those rare physicians that actually has empathy for what you have gone through and will go through. I wholeheartedly recommend him and his staff for any orthopedic needs you have."
