"Although the majority of the people I met were very friendly there was an extremely uncomfortable experience that took place with a particular resident of Griggsville Illinois. It was actually such a scary and uncomfortable experience that I will never feel comfortable going back. Every town has their black sheep I suppose, but as small as the town is, beware of your surroundings. Things could have been very different for me for the rest of my life had Griggsville been a big city. The fact that folks we're attentive and notice when visitors come through, especially when they appear to be frightened. I remember very little about the Skinner house."
