"Was a very nice put together little Museum. There was a very nice gentleman running it he explained to the three children all about why the fort was built how many soldiers died the different uniforms that was in there the arrowheads the GEOS all kinds of things explain why the fort was built the way it was how it was burnt down and when it was burnt down explained about the train was very knowledgeable about his job just a wonderful little Museum got more history from that place than they do in school these days my 11-year-old grandson so excited"

"It was awesome to see "American Melody" docked down at Riverview Park. Pen City Cruisers greeted people as they came walking down from the cruise ship. Several club members had their classic cars there as well!"

"Ft Madison is a friendly town worth a visit for the river and trains. The regular agent is known as "Amtrak Amy" and provides great customer service."

"One of the stops on the Southwest Chief. The Southwest Chief is an Amtrak train which runs between LA and Chicago. Great way to see the Midwest and West without driving. Less expensive than buying gasoline. Fun to look out of the observation car or your regular seats. The regular seats recline like a first class seat on an airline!"

"One of the really neat aspects of the Fort Madison Santa Fe Depot is you can get a great view of it by climbing and crossing the bridge over the railway. It's located just to the west of the depot. It makes a great picture spot; which you will see in my attached photos."
