"My standard of care was lower than what my friends have recieved at charity clinics. Negligent at best, sadistic at worst. Left out important information about IUD insertion proceedures, particularly the tenaculum double piercing the cervix to "stabilize" it and risk of vasovagal response. Majorly downplayed the pain I was signing up for. Suggested no legitimate pain management, despite being aware it would be bad. Apparently I handled it better than many other patients, so he knew. I writhed in pain and swore at him but he never bothered to ask if I was ok and wanted to continue. I nearly lost consciousness. How this can be done in 2022 without any anesthetic suggested is beyond me. OTC pain meds like Advil have been proven completely ineffective for insertion pain in 4 seperate randomized blind experiments."
