Reviews of Christopher Olson, MD
"Dr Olson aka Superman what an amazing dr…. Very straight to the point and knowledgeable"
"Dr. Olson was great. He was very to the point and knowledgable. He was fluid with surgery scheduling and did a great job. I am healing well, and the follow-up has been great."
"My Sister who was at the Mayo Clinic with me also, insists that she also remembers them telling me that the fibroid tumors had attached themselves to some of my organs. That part sounds familiar to me, but I am not sure. The fibroid tumors were so large; that a basic pap smear could not be conducted on me for years. Now, without any notice, Dr. Olson had to pull off this complicated surgery, THAT WAS NOW MORE COMPLICATED BECAUSE I WAS NOW WEAK HAVING DIED THAT MORNING; IN A LIFE-THREATING SITUATION BECAUSE THERE WAS INFECTION THROUGHOUT MY BODY AND ONLY GOD KNOWS WHAT ELSE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Obviously, he pulled it off, because I am here. There were no complications, because this man is a brilliant doctor. Of course, with his brilliance and extraordinary skill-set; he can of course handle what he would deem to be routine procedures, exceptionally well. …but you also want a doctor that can foresee potential problems to avert them and one that can deal with the medical matters that become crisis, even at a moment’s notice. That OB/GYN is Dr. Christopher Olson. This is an exceptionally brilliant doctor. Anyone who has him as a doctor is blessed. I thank God they assigned him to me. Otherwise my story could have and probably would have, had a different ending. How do you say thank you to such a wonderfully brilliant, skilled, but yet caring doctor??? I don’t know… Thank you Dr. Olson. Sincerely, Linda M."
"BRILLIANT DOCTOR… MASTERFULLY SKILLED… BRILLIANT SURGEON That is what Dr. Christopher Olson is. You are in good hands, if you choose this man as your physician. He knows his job exceptionally, extraordinarily well!!! In addition to all of that….. he is a kind and caring doctor. He also has a wonderful bedside manner. DON’T YOU WANT A BRILLIANT DOCTOR….I DO! You don’t want to find out that you don’t have a brilliant doctor when you are in trouble. I WOULD HAVE BEEN IN TROUBLE IF I HAD NOT BEEN ASSIGNED DR. OLSON!!! He is extremely knowledgeable and extremely skilled. I cannot think of a profession where brilliance is more important than in that of a doctor. After all, we all only have one (1) body and (1) life here on earth. Let me tell you a little bit of my story. I went to an emergency room in June. After many tests I was diagnosed by an emergency room doctor as having a urinary tract infection. I was hospitalized and while in the hospital I was assigned a female OB/GYN to check out my fibroid tumors that I had had for 19 years. No problem with the fibroids were detected. I was given an antibiotic and then discharged. I returned again, a few months later, on September 20th because the previous problem seemed to have returned, but it was worse. I was given a prescription by a different emergency room doctor for a urinary tract infection and sent home the same night. I took the prescription that I was given, as prescribed. It did not help. I was getting worse. So, eight (8) days later I was taken back to the emergency room. This time I prayed for the right doctor. Due to a high fever I was hospitalized again. 1 & ½ days later, I was assisted to the bathroom by a CNA. As soon as I tried to leave the bathroom I literally died and fell onto the floor. My Sister watched in horror as medical staff attempted to resuscitate me, to no avail. After 29 minutes with no pulse/heart stopped functioning/kidneys shut down, dead; God miraculously brought me back. I was immediately transported to another part of the hospital and it took approximately 4 hours to stabilize me. Somewhere in that process, they brought in their best. Dr. Olson and at least one other doctor/surgeon was consulted. Test results came back that same day that proved that I was still in a life-threatening crisis. It could not be determined what the problem was without an exploratory surgery being conducted immediately. Although I had died that morning; I was in too much of a crisis for the exploratory surgery to wait. The emergency surgery took place on the same day. There were a team of at least two (2) surgeons. Each doctor/surgeon was there for their specialty because it could not be determined in advance; what part or parts of my body would require surgery. Dr. Olson was the only OB/GYN; and there was a digestive specialist surgeon. Dr. Olson began with the fibroid tumors that were there. He found the problem. Against all odds, the common, benign, fibroid tumors, albeit large had become infected. That infection had travelled throughout my body. That was the cause of my death earlier that day. I had these fibroid tumors for 19 years and had refused the surgery until they had become so big that the Mayo Clinic told me 10 years ago that this would now be a very risky complicated surgery and that it would take a very very very skilled surgeon to remove them. The Mayo Clinic Doctor made it clear to me that if I used the Mayo Clinic or some other hospital, to make sure it was a very very very skilled experienced doctor/surgeon. They had become so big that I looked like I was nine (9) months pregnant. I had also been previously told that the tumors were the size of a woman that was 10 months, not 9 months, pregnant. I had also been previously informed that my organs were out of place, because the size of the fibroid tumors. (Too long see next post)"
