"We all have bad days and yesterday must have been a doozy for you. I have never been spoken to like that before, especially by a medical professional. You denied my request for an appointment for a gynecological issue because you haven’t seen me in five years, which is what you told me at my last visit based on current and past PAP smears. You then told me, again through your receptionist that I should go online and get an appointment to see Dr L, who I saw eight months ago for a gynecological issue because you were unavailable. You must have gotten this information from mypatientchart.org. I did not give you permission to access this information, which you then passed on to your receptionist. Both actions are in clear violation of HIPAA laws, making me feel violated in the worst way by a supposed “professional.” I will be following up on this. You ended your end of the conversation by saying you could see me on a specific day in six months, which is my birthday. Juvenile, snarky and highly unprofessional. Perhaps you could read up on patient retention strategies or consider another way to use your talent. First, do no harm."
