Jackson Hewitt Tax Service 8320 Louetta Road, Spring, TX 77379

"I felt very deceived by the advertisement of a refund advance on the website. The website stated that the tax payer could/would walk out of the Jackson Hewitt office with a refund advance loaded on to a prepaid card, if approved. I was never offered such a thing. Also, the bank is supposed to approve someone based on their refund amount - mine was a little more than $6900 but I got approved for $500 as an advance. I would never have used Jackson Hewitt to file my taxes for me had I known I would get such a petty amount of an advance! Of course you don't find out the amount until you have left the office and had your taxes filed, though. I paid around $300 just to have my taxes filed by Jackson Hewitt when I easily could have done it myself for free online. I was drawn in by the need for the refund advance (advertised at up to $6500 if your refund was a qualified amount), and then I get approved for $500 advanced?... And now the bank will get my return direct deposited to them, instead of me, so I'm sure it will not reach me until some days later, or more. This is a complete set up of a process and a complete false advertisement!!!! I'd give it negative 5 stars if I could. To be fair, I will say, the employees were very friendly and welcoming. They were very professional and helpful in terms of printing all of my documents, etc. My negative review is of Jackson Hewitt as a corporation, not this specific location."
