"This review is to make customers aware to read the contract entirely. This was my fault; I read through quickly and assumed it was the same as other companies with the fee structure. There is fine print on the contract that if Rainbolt & Co. is unable to reduce your appraised value, essentially the sole reason you are hiring them, you can still be charged a fee. If they reduce your market value only and despite you save nothing in actual money, you will be charged. You must take the risk of whether the company can do their job or not. If they do their job, you can save half the money on tax savings; that's great. If they don't do their job, you could just end up paying for a service that you basically didn't receive. They seem like nice people, and it was a "small" fee, but it's not my responsibility to pay for them to stay in business if they cannot do their job. I was told after several unsuccessful attempts in reducing appraised values for customers, the customers were being charged with this new policy to "help keep the doors open". I could have done absolutely nothing and have more money in my pocket than after hiring them to save me money. I wish I could get paid for failing at my job."
