"I found working with Ridout Barret to be a very frustrating experience. All 3 times we worked with them they did not provide quotes up front. Then each time we got hit with invoices after the work was complete that were much higher than expected. The second time we worked with them we asked for a quote up front but they told us they needed to assess how much work would be required first. When we asked again for a quote before they were about to start working on our taxes, the quote we received included $500 in charges for the assessment of the work, before they had even started any work on our taxes. Which was why we had asked for a quote first - so we wouldn't be hit with any unexpected surprises like that."
