Westercamp Rent A Horse

"Scheduled a horse ride twice! First time we arrived and waited (two hour drive one way), no one around. Tried calling, no answer. Someone else showed up and said they had tried to cancel the night before, but I didn't have a voicemail. Tried scheduling again and now can't get anyone to answer to confirm scheduled appointment. Not doing this again. BEWARE"

"Wonderful experience for my whole family, very friendly and thoughtful folks. Trail ride was between 2 1/2 - 3 hours. Definately worth doing again. Beautiful scenery in the park, lucky to have such amazing access for riding. Would love to be able to do more activities, maybe in the future? Still, a great place to try riding if you've never done it, and for those that has been a minute since their last ride lol."

"Our guide was very friendly and gave simple instructions. We weren't able to use the usual trail due to a frozen creek, so after giving the horses/mules a rest, we followed the trail back. The ride was about 90 minutes, in two parts, with another 30 or so getting everyone saddled up. The horses like to go single file, don't plan on riding side by side. Children need to be able to follow directions well in order to enjoy their time."

"Today, 8-27-22, we drove from Kirksville, Mo for our 4th annual ride at Westercamp Rent A Horse. Fantastic! The trail ride this time was a little different from years prior, more hills and it was wonderful! I highly recommend this family owned business. Today our guide Winter was amazing! Sweet, sweet woman with great conversation. Horses are beautiful and well taken care of and loved. Easy to ride and completely enjoyable. Thank you Westercamp family! We will be back!
