"This travel agency is the absolute worse. We booked our honeymoon a year in advanced. Paid for that year with travel insurance. Monday morning our flight sat on the runway for 3 hours , only to get deboarded. We had the option to fly out next day or get a refund. Called the agent , to hear that " the airline really is the one at fault" ( the agent booked us on Frontier airline ) We had no vouchers or anything. Rented a room at OHare airport. Ate dinner. Agent assured us it would all be handled. That evening we discovered the airline refunded our flight back to Suzi Davis/ Direct Travel. So now we had to book a 9 am flight to Cancun. We also had to book a return flight. Once again the agent assured us all expenses would be covered. We had our honeymoon which was shorted by one day. When we returned we were told that we needed to file a claim with the 3rd party insurance( that the agent choose for us ). Tge insurance company stated it would take 30 days to review the case. After 30 days I called . More excuses about Covid and what not. In the end we received the refund that the airline sent. Then the insurance reimbursed us for the $250 of the $1300 we spent on meals, lodging and airfare. Very disappointed and still not sure what Direct Travel did for us. I do not recommend them and will never use them again"

"My husband and I recently went into Suzi Davis just to see what prices they could come up with compared to what I found on my own. We had a negative experience with both LeeAnn Spencer and their VP/manager Mary Seaton. Not only did LeeAnn have no knowledge about our trip and could not answer our questions, she went ahead and reserved airfare, hotel, and rental car after we had specifically asked for quotes only and said we were shopping around and did not want to book yet. When I e-mailed her regarding this matter, she didn't answer me back. So I e-mailed Mary Seaton about the matter. She said she would talk to LeeAnn and I would not be contacted further about this trip and all reservations would be canceled. I didn't hear back from her, but I did get an e-mail from LeeAnn two days later wondering if we were going to put down deposits for the reservations we discussed (which we never ever discussed, as a matter of fact). When I e-mailed Mary again asking about this since she said I would have no further e-mails from LeeAnn, she shot me a snippy e-mail saying she had been busy with customers the last two days. I ended up booking the trip myself and would never recommend using the Peoria office for this company for any future trips."
