Reviews of Covenant Health Hobbs Hospital
"PLEASE if you are reading this review…do not come here. I promise the extra 20 min drive to lovt is def worth it. Had to go in for severe kidney pain. Front desk was not friendly. I was sitting in the waiting room for 2 hours in unbearable pain to the point where I was crying. They finally took me back & the nurse that took my vitals was rude. He treated me like as if I was being over dramatic. He took me into a room & said they would be right with me. Moments later, came back & told me that they had to take me out of this room so another patient can come in here. I told them to please help me I can’t take the pain anymore. They said they were very busy and I needed to be patient. They left me IN THE HALL (for 3 hours, may I add)Another nurse came & put in the IV part in my arm. She administered some morphine and was asking me questions, but I was in so much pain I couldn’t even talk. I could barely nod my head as a reply. She seemed impatient and annoyed with me. Finally Staci West came & seemed to show genuine concern about my pain. Told me I needed to give a urine sample. Mind y'all, I was still in the hall, out in the open in a hospital gown with no clothes underneath. I was left in front of another patient’s room where they left her door open. I walked to the bathroom & the patient started yelling at me. I felt so stressed and uncomfortable. Morphine helped the pain finally become bearable, so I changed back into my clothes and went to the nurse’s station, told them I wanted to leave. They said me leaving would be going against medical advice. I told them I didn’t feel comfortable being left in a hall out in the open like that where I have no privacy. All of the noise & people passing by was too stressful for me, I was going to go to lovt. They said they could clean a room & put me in there. I sat there in a chair in front of the nurses station waiting a while. They finally brought me back to the room & just left. Didn’t ask me if I needed anything, nothing. I pressed the button for assistance. Told the nurse I felt very thirsty & dehydrated, and I was cold. Asked for some water & a blanket. She said she would see what she could do. Never came back. Another hour later, someone else came to do some scans for my kidneys. After that, another hour passed… and the nurse practitioner finally came in the room and said I had kidney stones & uti. She prescribed me some meds, and discharged me. I texted my friend to ask her to come pick me up (since I couldn’t drive due to the morphine) she said she would be there in 5 mins. Another person came to give me my discharge paperwork. I asked her if I could stay just a few more mins while my ride got there, I felt so mentally, physically, & emotionally drained. She said no because they needed the room & walked me out. I asked her if I could at least wait in the chair in front of the nurses station & she said it was fine. My friend was a few minutes away, & another nurse came up to me and asked me if I needed something. Told her I was just waiting on my ride who would be here any min. She was so rude! :( with an attitude, she said “no, you can’t be back here. There’s patients back here who need privacy. You need to go wait in the lobby”(where was my privacy when y’all left me in the hall for 3 hours lol) I told her the other nurse said it was fine & she said “no, you need to go now!” with such a bad attitude. She made me feel horrible. Made me feel like I was nothing but trash being thrown out. That experience at the er that day traumatized me & took a toll on my mental health. Honestly, the only positive thing I have to say about this experience is that Staci West was very nice. She expressed genuine concern about me as a patient in severe pain. I’ve never had pain like that before, or kidney stones, so the experience was pretty scary. Other than Staci, the rest of the staff was rude, dismissive, neglectful, and unconcerned about patient comfort or concerns. I understand working in an er is stressful, but at the end of the day, that is the career you chose, and that is your job…"
"I want to give a huge shout out to Covenant Hobbs Hospital. My mom received top notch care from both the ER and the floor nurses. We had a tough night and the nurses and doctors worked diligently throughout the night and most of the next day stabilizing her. Each time we pushed the nurse call button they were there! For those who know my mom you know she is not an easy person to deal with! Tonight they made sure she is comfortable. I sure hope the worst is behind us. Thank you everyone for your prayers- it’s appreciated and felt!"
"The doctor (Mitchell Moriner)was just horrible. They never help me on what I came in for and did not put down full diagnosis. The told to pee in a cup and never checked it. I'm still in pain. I thought going to the hospital will make you better and it didn't. When it was lea regional hospital they actually cared."
"This place is a complete joke! If you’re able to, go to the Lovington hospital or even Lubbock. Hobbs’s new hospital is so unorganized. Staff are there just to collect a paycheck. There’s never enough room for the patients. They have you sitting/ laying down in the hallways. Management is utterly pathetic with how they treat people!"
"Wow! Such an amazing experience delivering my baby here. All the staff so far is extremely knowledgeable, compassionate and motivated to help achieve a happy~healthy mama~baby goal. Even they made my MIL, toddler, hubby all feel great too. Feels like a big family environment here. The rooms are so massive. It’s like a super clean palace of luxury here!!! Food is pretty good as well which was an added bonus. They have everything a mama recovering and new baby would need. All you need to pack is a charger and going home clothes. This place has you covered with the nice creams, lotions, pads etc. The giant bathroom is beautiful too. Feels like a hotel pregnant princess suite. The way it is set up here is you just show up and they’ll take you to your awesome room where you get to relax for the labor, delivery and recovery. No shuffling around necessary. Edit: few days later I had to go back to the hospital because my baby had jaundice. Sure this hospital does not have a traditional NICU but they are set up for everything to take care of babies with all sorts of issues and a helicopter ready to go for a rare random disaster. I super trust this location with my family! 100% recommend this hospital! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"
