"I had a recent very negative set of experiences with this company. 9 years ago they did great work at my home. They installed a whole home filtration system which worked incredibly well. I was told that it would last about 10 years. At year 9 the filter seemed to have a leak. I called Clarke Kent Plumbing to make an appointment to have the filtration system replaced. I spoke to a VERY snarky young female on the phone who would not give me an estimate on the cost of the filtration replacement. This seems like a straight forward questions. I understand no being able to give an estimate on labor, which seems unusual secondary to it being a removal of a system they installed and a replacement of the same system. I double checked on their website that it was the same brand and they sold the same system. I was given a date. The date given was 1-15-23 which was to be the coldest day of the winter so far and forecasted to be raining resulting in unsafe highway conditions. I was told that I would be contacted on Monday if they had to cancel. Much to no ones surprise, I got a call on monday from the snarky young lady telling me we had to reschedule. I was given 1-17-24 from 8am to 9am. I got a call at 840am on 1-17-24 from the technician that he couldnt find my house which is in Hutto......he was off 290 about 45 min away. The wrong address and zip code was given to the technician. I gave him the address and he said he would be here in 45 min. 2 more phone calls from Clarke Kent said that they would not be making it and we needed to reschedule again. I called them back to reschedule on 1-19-24 to get the same snarky person on the phone. At this point, I was looking to have a malfunctioning hot water heater repaired or replaced and to get my filter swapped out. The person asked if the filter was working. I answered the question and stated that it was. She said they could not schedule me an appointment until early February. I asked to speak to another person in the office who did the same job. I was placed on hold and after several minutes, the snarky employee said that her supervisor was busy with other customers and I would be called back. This is over 24 hours ago and still no call. I contacted another local plumber who will be coming to my house on Monday to replace my not functioning hot water heater and replace my water filter. Overall, Incredibly disappointing interaction with a historically well run business. I am hopeful that somehow the owner of Clarke Kent Plumbing reads this review and might be interested in how things are happening on the front end with previously loyal customers. I hope this is helpful to someone needing plumbing and attention to schedules. I would look somewhere else."
"I didn't do business with this company. I'm posting for owner visibility. The driver of van 6 was on Braker lane today, turned southbound on stonelake blvd at 11:23 am and was driving like a drunk person. Tailgating everyone, changing lanes dangerously by cutting people off and then hitting his brakes, AND not using his/her turn signal. If this is the quality of person they hire, I'd question the work done. The driving was so unnecessarily dangerous and aggressive that I pulled over to let yall know. Fire that fool, they are an awful representative for your company. I'll delete this once a company representative has commented."
"Update: I spoke to the Management and they did nothing to remedy the issue. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I called them to replace a garbage disposal. They charged $580, $93 was for the garbage disposal and $480 was for labor. ABSOLUTE RIP OFF AND SCAM!! BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!!! Update: Per the response from the owner below, I called and spoke with the company. The person I spoke with said he would escalate it. He never called back. I called him and he said the boss said they were first on their pricing of $480 for labor. Again, BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!!"
"DO NOT USE THIS PLUMBER. I originally called for low water pressure and clogged drains on a Saturday and was told someone would be there by 5pm. They did not call me back until MONDAY! When someone finally showed they only sent someone to fix the water pressure and told me a different plumber would have to come out for drains in which I would have to pay another service fee and they would be coming the next day. This was not relayed to me until after they addressed my water pressure issue, knowing all of this information before they arrived. The plumber was very nice but their organization and business model is a scam! I would suggest using a plumber that can fix all of your issues in one visit, not try to up charge you at every chance."
"I made an appointment for a shower pipe leak that turned out to be a relatively simple job as the pipe just needed some new paste and tape. Unfortunately, while loosening the shower fixture the plumber was not paying enough attention and the majority of the fixture fell. Although I struggled to understand how the plumber could not see that part of the fixture was not screwed into the pipe and would separate when being removed, I understand that accidents happen. However, after resuming the job, the plumber then ended up heavily scratching up the shower fixture when tightening it back up. The plumber also applied what seemed like a pretty amateur silicone caulk as the finishing touches. The caulk was very messy and was missing in some areas, also started cracking the next day so I ended up just removing it and doing it myself after the plumber had left. After all was said and done, the plumber did admit fault for dropping the fixture and said the company would order the part that had been broken and come replace it. I was charged full price for the job even after what had happened. After several weeks of silence, I had to reach out to their customer service myself several times in order to get status updates and schedule a return appointment to replace the broken part. I also mentioned the damages to the wall and floor where the fixture had hit on its way down and they insured me it would be taken care of. They asked if I wanted a different plumber and I insisted on a different one several times, but I ended up with the same person as before. The plumber came and replaced the part and quickly left with no mention of any other repairs. At this point I had completely lost trust and didn't bother following up with the company for anything further. I can understand accidents but there were plenty of moments where my experience could have been much better, and it was instead poor and frustrating. I would definitely not recommend Clarke Kent."
