"Sony 75” tv that had blinking red lights issue. Found out star was an authorized repair shop and that squaretrade approved them to check it out. Was quickly seen and they diagnosed it to being a faulty led part that is an expensive assembly to replace (and hard part to find). They worked with me to in getting the information needed to the warranty company. Would for sure come back and refer others in the area who needs an electronics technician."

"My LED TV went black with a simple power failure. After researching online it seemed like this happened to my model often. Not being a TV expert I found someone obviously to fix it. 1. David did a house call to come look at my unit. He mis diagnosed the issue, saying he would have a part to fix the issue in TWO OR SO DAYS. After returning to his office, he said he actually needs to bring the TV to the office. So he took it and said that it needed further review. It cost $100 for this effort, even though it was no longer a house call. 2. After waiting nearly a week with absolutely no communication I started to ask what the deal was with frequent calls? Generally a business calls you to let you know the status on your prized possessions. David would talk to me for a maximum 10 seconds before forcing me off the phone. Again not good business. 3. After more repetitive calls, I'm told the part to fix my TV was "defective". However the TV couldn't be reviewed anymore because the lead technician was on "Spring Break" so for an entire week no work gets done. At this point two days have become two weeks. 4. 6-7 calls and 17 days later my TV is returned with a new part and $245 dollars lost. What do I get for my efforts? I scratched screen in which the company denies doing. I must have done it before hand, though I'm pretty sure I'd known if I'd have scratched my own screen prior to this. This company should be ashamed of themselves and I would advise everyone to stay away. (Update) I got a $75 refund for a $700 TV that was messed up. Sounds fair right?"
