Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

"I only gave one star because ZERO STARS or even minus stars are not available. I was very disappointed and upset about our recent experience with Roto-Rooter Plumbing. My wife and I are in our 80's, and we had unfortunately had our sink back up and it led to two other sinks backing up as well. It was a Saturday night and we needed help. The technician was late. He was supposed to arrive between 5-7, instead he went out to eat without calling to change the time because he wanted to stop and eat dinner. He arrived at 8:30 pm. He also showed up without any tools to do the job. He had to use my tools and even used one of my nice water pitchers to remove the backed up liquid from my sink. I would have gladly provided another type of cup for him to use, but he didn't ask. He told me that to unclog the sink it would cost $480. He provided a senior citizen and military discount that brought it down to $405. Unfortunately, that was only for the one sink. The other two would be separate jobs that he said would cost another $300. I felt like I didn't have another option at the time and he knew it too. I am very disappointed with this company and I would not recommend anyone to use them."

"Had separated 45 degree elbow reconnected as spot repair under concrete driveway quoted as $5k job. Two person crew with pick-up truck arrived in the morning at agreed time. They were able to complete the whole job in less than 4 hours. The material costs seemed just to include short section of sewer pipe and some rebar and few bags of ready-mix concrete. At the time of completion I was offered to fix a lowered 25 feet section (belly) sewer line for $7.5k extra that's not under driveway. I said no thanks at this time. I did dig up the line and raised it up enough to clear standing water in the line verified with a sewer inspection camera. In just about 6 hours of my own time I saved $7.5k! The reason for 3 star review is the outrageous cost of the service and the push marketing of extra work to fix newly discovered issues. The actual spot repair job was done properly and repair site was left in clean condition. Update 12/2/23: I received follow-up call from that I was not able to pick up at that time. After calling back couple times leaving voice mails I never got a call back. After I tried calling back third time I was able to talk to Marcus (not 100% sure of the name). As expected he told me that is typical in the industry to charge that amount for that kind of work and consist of covering vehicle fuel costs, using licensed plumbers, providing warranty etc... So at the end nothing changed and there is no need to update the review score."

"Had to schedule immediate service for a pipe clog that caused water to back up in the shower. Joshua and a trainee showed up promptly as the appointment was scheduled. Joshua quickly located the issue. The camera tech, Sean, was just as awesome as Joshua and the trainee. All 3 gentlemen worked together to resolve our issues and provide us with a reasonable and affordable solution to avoid future issues with the 50 plus year old piping/plumbing system we inherited with our recently purchased home. We will definitely use roto rooter in the future. Excellent service is hard to come by."

"I feel like I was scammed! Absolutely would not use again. $4800 to fix the sewer line that was attached to the house. They were done in 2 hours. I was told they needed to dig under the house. They dug an access hole 3 feet tops. And they left me with out the toilet installed."

"Erik was amazing! He was right on time, asked questions, walked around the house, located the value covers, ran tests and diagnosed the issues. Erik started and completed the rooter procedure on both toilets and was done in less than 45 minutes! Erik was friendly, professional, polite, had a great sense of humor, answered all our questions and made new toilet recommendations so we wouldn’t have the issues in the future! Oh and he did all this on Sunday evening with a smile on face and gave us his number and told us to call if we have anymore issues. Thank you Erik! We appreciate you!!"
