"When referred to this location by his primary care provider, my husband was verbally quoted for services he would receive. Each of the three times that he went for an appointment for a sleep study, he verified verbally with the front desk or the doctor what the amount would be for services and was never offered anything in print. We are cash pay, so this was important to him. After every visit, he paid the amount quoted and billed in full, there at the office in person. Besides a credit card receipt, he never received anything in print. Three weeks after his last interaction, he received an additional bill for over TWICE the amount originally paid in the office. When he reached out for an explanation, their billing provider informed him that these were the rates of service and without a written quote obtained multiple days ahead of time before the time of his appointment, they were not responsible for any verbal quotes given to him by the staff at Sleep Therapy and Research Center. Since his interactions, it has become apparent that Sleep Therapy and Research Center seems to be taking advantage of a legal loophole originally intended to protect consumers like us from healthcare fraud and overbilling. By verbally giving their estimates they are not required to honor their word. We’re most likely stuck with a huge bill that my husband was completely unaware of until well after services were rendered, contrary to what he was told verbally by office staff. This may be due to the fact that we are cash pay, as he informed them of several times. However, it is a completely unpleasant and unexpected surprise. We have communicated the above to his doctor, who has also said they will no longer be referring their patients to Sleep Therapy and Research Center. You can learn from our negative experience and choose a different—and honest—sleep study provider in San Antonio. There are more and better places to choose from. Should you choose to or need to use this provider, we recommend that you thoroughly review the terms of the No Surprises Act (passed in 2022), of which we are now aware, and make sure you request quotes in writing ahead of time according to those guidelines to ensure you have recourse."

"no one ever returns calls. was referred here after last sleep doctor never got back to me in over 3 months to schedule a sleep study. Well this one is about to go the the three month time without any resolution. They never answer or return calls. Have left several messages for Lisa and no response. Terrible service so far. Do not recommend based on my experience. Go elsewhere!"

"At first when I called to obtain information at the study I was excited to hear about their services. Unfortunately my excitement was short lived. I have waited over a month for their “benefits coordinator” to review my benefits and was told they have to find out if I have a copay and things like that. So until then, I cannot be scheduled. Originally I was told the benefits review takes about 2 weeks and I would get a phone call to schedule an appointment. Now I’m being told there was someone working from home who was supposed to take care of my referral. Now there’s someone working in the office and I’m expected to wait for them. When I asked for their office manager, there is none. No one is running that place and holding the staff accountable and we as potential patients are being punished for it."

"Zero stars, this facility is incompetent. I DO NOT RECOMMEND! 1. They NEVER call you to schedule your appointments. I called multiple times, always given the excuse that they were waiting on insurance approval. After waiting 2.5 months to be scheduled, I called my insurance to see what was taking so long. Come to find out my insurance said I do not need approval for the study. In my opinion this is a dereliction of duty from the staff. Patients should not have to wait 2.5 months because the staff is not doing their job. 2. After waiting 2.5 months, they canceled my in-house study 3 hours prior to my arrival (due to staffing issues). Because of this staffing issue my study had to be done in the new year, so all deductibles have to be paid again. For the rescheduling they quoted me a very large amount to be paid upfront (I found out later that the quote was 75% more than it should have been). So, I asked for a home study instead since that would be a lower cost. 3. On the day of my appointment to pick up the equipment, I sat in the waiting room for 1.5 hours. Nobody came to tell me why the wait was so long, so I asked the lady at the front desk - she said they were waiting on the equipment supplier to bring the equipment. At the very least they could have had the decency to let me know what was going on. They don’t care nor have any consideration about the patients time. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! I don’t know if the doctors are good or not, because I was never able to get the study done due to their staffs incompetence, but if this is the quality of staff they hire, then I don’t trust the doctor's either. This place makes me feel like they are scamming people. If someone has sleep apnea why is it okay to make them wait 3-5 months before getting tested? They don’t care at all about your medical needs. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! Call your insurance and ask to go somewhere else, WE DO STILL HAVE A CHOICE on where we can be treated."
