"Do. Not. Go. Here. I took my beautiful golden retriever here for a cut. They shaved him, I did not ask for a shave and respectfully asked to have the manager contact me. They have subsequently ruined our family photos because of his shave. I'm sure the lovely GM will respond faster here than they have responded to me. I've been waiting for a call back for over 24 hours to discuss and will only refund me the tip. Absolutely do not support this business and take your dollars elsewhere."
"When me and Molly got to Dallas Den the lady in the feeling was very nice. Molly was nervous but the time her back. When I got there to pick her up she was scared but she’s a baby that was to be expected. She looked so cute and adorable. I was very pleased with the grooming."
"I boarded my dogs here in the VIP room with camera access. Pros: I’ve had bad boarding experiences before, and so I appreciated the extra time that the team took answering my endless questions during intake and arranging the stay. I also have extremely limited funds as a teacher with three senior pets, and I appreciated that the staff answered my questions about pricing. Staff were immediately responsive whenever I actively reached out and pointed out that something had not been done or that I saw my dog on the camera asking to go out or sitting in a puddle of liquid or something. Staff responded even beyond business hours. My money was refunded when I sent photos of my dog’s flaking skin after the “moisturizing oatmeal bath,” no questions asked, and without me even having to ask, although I haven’t checked my statement to see if that charge was refunded. I’m going to assume she did process it. They gave me one complimentary night for being a new client. That was helpful. My male dog rarely likes male handlers, and he loved one male staff member in particular at Dallas Pet Den. I think that says a lot. They listened to the litany of my female dog’s ailments and took me seriously, and they were careful to keep her cool while also giving her some playtime, I think. There are no cameras were I could see them playing, but I did see that she was not always in her room. Also, I really appreciated that I was able to walk right in off the street and go on a tour of the facility. That said a lot about the confidence they have in the quality of their facility, and I don’t disagree. They helped me choose the right kind of room for my dogs, and I like that they have a quieter area away from the chaos that is better suited for anxious, senior animals - but you will pay a premium for it. Still, it is an option that not every facility offers. ICons: My female dog came home with significant bruising across her chest. The staff did investigate, and we can only conclude that this came from some rough play during playtime. They even had a photo they had taken of a wound, so they were prepared to address it with me if I asked, but they decided not to mention it. I would have preferred that they tell me that she was injured rather than waiting until I returned home and removed her harness to see the horrific bruises beneath. Despite paying for exit baths which was a huge expense on my limited budget, my dogs stank like pee, and I had to wash them when we got home. It was that sickly boarding facility smell. On top of that, their skin was so dry that it was flaking off. Worse yet, I was charged extra for the “moisturizing bath,” but I wasn’t told this when I selected it at check in. I thought it was just an option like you could have regular shampoo or the sensitive skin shampoo. There was no mention of an up charge. I’d like to say here that hairless dogs like mine do not have special skin; they have normal dog skin, just no fur. So any other dog getting that “moisturizing bath” is also flaky beneath all their fur; on my dogs you just see it. Some little things also when overlooked: the chew toy I sent for my dog’s anxiety wasn’t put in their room and I had to call and ask. They were not given separate beds as we had pre-arranged (they never sleep together) I had to call and ask. It was just difficult to be on vacation when I had supposedly set up all these things ahead of time only to find that much of it wasn’t being done. I can only imagine if I hadn’t gotten the room with the camera! Overall, if you can afford it, I would recommend this facility. I felt that the people in charge were ethical and responsive to my inquiries. They treated me fairly and showed genuine care for my animals’ needs within the limitations of boarding facility management. As at any business, some staff were more invested than others. I didn’t get the sense that my animals were in danger or mistreated at any time, and many of their staff were extremely invested in establishing a relationship with my animals and effectively managing their health and happiness."
"I absolutely love bringing my dog here and honestly I am very thankful for them. Honey loves going to doggy daycare. She loves taking pictures for them. The staff is amazing and my dog loves them. I would recommend anyone and everyone to bring their fur baby here."
"Besides me, the most important is that my dog, Sophia loves this daycare!! It feels like she is part of a family there and starts to whine before we even pull up to hurry and get there. She gets so excited to hurry and get out of the car to go play and everyone. That alone tells me how much she loves it. With my new baby, Stella Jane who is 5 months old, i knew she was in great hands for her 1st grooming appointment / meet and greet for play time. They even sent me pictures to put me ease to know she is having a blast for her first introduction to playtime. I enjoy going up there myself to drop and pickup my fur babies to just chit chat a bit with everyone. It is a great doggie daycare and grooming, all the way around. I highly recommend this place :)"
